A fire that was set by the daughter-in-law with a mental condition, that burned out of control, and ended up, killing the elderly man, very tragic, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
In a steel shack in Pingdong, there was a fire that started in the midnight hours, the eighty-one-year-old elderly man, Chen was scorched up; the police found the point of ignition being right at the trash can, the daughter-in-law of the deceased elderly man who had been diagnosed with a mental condition admitted that she was playing with a lighter, and caused the accident, and was charged with public endangerment and murder, the D.A. will be conducting an autopsy to see if the elderly died prior to or after the fire was started.
The police found, the steel shack that started burning was right next to the old-style mansion, at 5:39 in the morn yesterday, there was an alert for the fire, within half an hour, the fire was, put out; as the firefighter cleared the scene afterwards, they’d found the eighty-one year-old elderly man, Chen, dead by his own bedside, and his body was, torched up to black. Because there was NO sign of the wires catching on fire, the police suspected that there may be something more that had happened during the time, and, took everybody in the house back to the station to inquiry.
The police told, that the deceased lived in the mansion with the three generations of children and grandchildren, and because the man was elderly, he’d not slept with his own wife, he’d, stayed alone in the steel shack next to the estate, while his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren all lived in the old-style mansion.
The fire didn’t burn to the room next to the elderly man’s, but the police found the daughter-in-law, Su (age 50) had burns on her hand, and there were holes, burned in her clothes too; the wife of the deceased told the police, that at around four in the morn, she saw her daughter-in-law wandering outside the doors of her husband’s bedroom, and so, the police zoomed in on the daughter-in-law, and found, that Su was clinically severely depressed, and she would have her good days and her bad days, and, as the officers pressed her on, she’d, admitted that at around 4:30 in the early morning yesterday, she was playing with fire in her father-in-law’s bedroom, and she had, set the contents inside the trash can on fire.
The police said, there were, a ton of junk piling up inside the elderly man’s room, that was how and why the fire got out of control, and, they’d believed, that the elderly may have tried to make his escape, based off of how they’d found him next to his body, but was, unsuccessful, yesterday, they took Su into custody, the D.A. will conduct an autopsy, to verify the elderly man’s cause of death.
And so, the daughter-in-law is most likely to be at fault, and, chances are, she may not be charged with murder at all, because she has a mental condition, she’s, a PYROMANIAC, and the elderly man was merely, a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time…
