The Officer Was Asked to Look the Other Way at the Request of a Councilman, Sentenced to SIX Years in Prison

Look what offering of a little extra money can make a man do, and he’s a police officer too, knowing the law, AND breaking it, he got caught all right!!!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Fuzi substation’s external affairs officer, Wu, from the Chiayi Police Department four years ago, found the illegal sex ring operator, Wang matching the illegal migrant workers to drink with men, but, at the request of the assistant of the city councilman, he’d, not reported to his superiors, so Wang got away, from paying at least $100,000N.T. in the fines, the Highest Courts tossed back his appeal, Wu was charged with bribery, sentenced to Six years, and, the courts stripped him of his status as a police officer for three years.

The verdict pointed out, that between 2011 and 2014, Wu was a field agent for the local police station.  The police station received a tip in 2014, that Wang had taken in the runaway female migrant workers, and, had the ladies stripped in the karaoke bars to accompany the drinkers, Wu was asked by his superiors to look into the matter.

Wu and other officers went to the location to ambush, but, as Wang received the tips, he’d taken the two female runaway migrant workers to skip out the back, later, the runaway migrant workers were arrested.  As Wang escaped, he’d found the city councilman’s assistant to help him, and the assistant to the councilman and Wu were old acquaintances, he’d gone ot show his “cares and concerns.

After Wu took the statements of the two runaway workers, he’d not asked Wang to come in, nor did he, write the reports, which allowed Wang to escape the over $100,000N.T. fines that he’d originally had to pay.  The D.A. asked the offices of internal affairs to look into the matter, and found that after the incident, Wu had asked Wang for a loan of $300,000N.T.s, and in order to escape the punishments of having set up an illegal sex trade, he’d, agreed to loan him the amount, and Wu was indicted on charges of corruption.

Wu denied having let Wang off easy, or that the money was a bribe, the first and second trials, the courts believed there to be a lack of evidence to prove that the money is related to bribe, that the charges didn’t stand; but, the courts stated, that Wu worked as a police officer for over twenty years, he’d knowingly broken the laws, and, allowed his friend to make him let Wang slide, that he’d, damaged the reputations of the police forces, and he’d not admitted to what he’d done.

The judge considered, that he’d been suspended since the start of the investigations, that he was now, working in a tea manufacturing plant, that he’d not had a stable source of income, and, sentenced him to six years, and stripped him of his police officer status for three years, and the Highest Courts tossed back his appeal yesterday, and closed the case. 

  And now, this man who took the bribes not only did he lose his status as a police officer, he’s, looking at serving some hard time in jail, all because, he got too greedy, and here, MONEY is, the sources of ALL things EVIL!
