A homeless man, Chen, two afternoons ago after he was drunk, got into an altercation with someone, and, a group of men, ganged up on him and beaten him up, yesterday afternoon, he was found dead, in front of a residence without the water or the electricity, in front of a house in Sanming District, in Kaohsiung; the police found, that the neighbors found him lying there in the midnight hours of yesterday, they’d thought he was passed out from drinking, but when the neighbors came back out around noon, he’d, already died.
The police followed the leads, took Chen and three other men who’d gotten into the altercation with Chen, they’d denied having beaten the homeless man to death, the police and the coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The police stated, that Chen the homeless man (age 54) had squatted with other members of the homeless community inside a residence that belonged to Chen, that already had the electricity and the water disconnected. At 12:20 in the noon hours yesterday, the passersby found him lying in front of the residence, and not breathing, the person called it in. As the officers in charge of the jurisdiction rushed over, they’d found him to have injuries on the left of his forehead, with the cause of death unknown, the police asked around the neighborhood, and the locals said they saw him getting beaten up by a group of people in front of the property.
The police found, that the deceased at two in the afternoon was drinking with the homeowner, Chen’s son (age 42), his friends, Tang (age 42), Huang (age 33) and Weng (age 37), they’d gotten into a verbal altercation, the police suspected that Chen had been, beaten by all for men together. The local residents at around two in the morning yesterday saw Chen fallen in front of the property, but he was still breathing, thought that he’d passed out from drinking again, they’d not discovered that he died, until yesterday afternoon.
As the patrol officers interviewed the witnesses in the neighborhood, they’d first found Tang, who said, that the four of them got into a fight two days ago. By the evening, the police found Chen, the homeowner’s son, Huang, and Weng, Huang turned in the aluminum bat he’d used, and testified, that he thought someone was about to start a fight, that was why he’d, brought the baseball bat there, but he’d not, hit anybody with it. The police and district attorneys are going to have the autopsy reports, to see exactly how Chen, the homeless man died.
And so, the homeless man was beaten, and left to die, if this isn’t a murder, it’s, at least, MANSLAUGHTER, and this still just showed, how little people can KILL one another for. Only because some unpleasant words were, exchanged, the men got violent, and, ganged up on the homeless man, and it still didn’t matter IF he’d, started it, he’s now, DEAD, and someone has to pay for it!!!
