Because, the economics, the working environment here, isn’t good enough, that is why, the younger generations are all, headed out, and they can only, come home on the limited number of occasions, to stay with their parents and loved ones, commentaries, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Recently, all of my friends, relatives had been, sharing a lecture of a high school counselor, “is it really, that difficult, to get our children to come back to our hometowns, to find work?”, I was, deeply, touched after viewing it.
From before, the children only needed to get into good schools, and, they’d be able to find a steady job after they graduated; for those who aren’t, studious enough, there are schools where they can, go and learn a trade, and they’d be taken care of afterwards too. How come, the high school students are worrying about their job outlook for the future now. The lecturer, Professor Chang said, this isn’t just a matter of economics, it’s the problem of the psychology of Taiwan as a whole. The tax laws in Taiwan aren’t transparent enough, there’s no safety, with a ton of risk in taxes, which causes the enterprises, to head out, and the foreign investors don’t come in, the elites are leaving, how scary is this.
My daughter who works in China came home for the Mid-Autumn Festivals, she only has two, three times a year to take her days of to come back here from China, I felt bad for her, being all alone on her own, in a foreign country, so I’d, told her that if work’s too hard, then, she can, come back home, but she’d told me, “There’s, no return for me now!”, and as the neighbors saw me, they’d commented, “You’re so blessed to have a daughter who comes home to visit!”, I’d told her, that I don’t know how many time we will have, to share the days, I’m already, almost eighty, how many more times, can I spend, with my daughter?
My daughter told me, she could no longer, find a fitting job in Taiwan, that no matter how hard or trying it is for her outside of Taiwan, she can only, bear with it, grit her teeth down. How did Taiwan become like this? When our children are, forced to go overseas to work, and the parents, forced to be separated with their children, it’d become, so extremely difficult, to have the children closer to us.
I just want to have my children close by my side, is that, too much to ask, candidates?
And so, this, is how it goes, because Taiwan has little to NO outlook for the future, because ALL the politicians are SCREWNG over the original systems that worked, and that, is why, finding stable jobs became, harder here, and that, is why, the younger generations are, keep on, heading out overseas, to China, and Southeast Asia for higher paying jobs, and the government needs to change its ways, to solve this big problem completely, but, those in power, they don’t give a SHIT, all they care about, is playing those tricks!
