The lessons, from watching the grains of sand, slip through your fingers, translated…
That summer, we’d, come to see the oceans.
The oceans in the summer, is the most appealing. But I’d, often thought, without the beaches, would the oceans still be, just as enticing?
As we came, my friend enjoyed watching the waves coming and going, how the waves kissed the rocks, and, caressed the beaches, but, I’d, enjoyed more walking barefoot on the sand, humming, “the Sand from the Seas”, I’d, especially loved the two lines of the lyrics, “Picking up a handful of sand from the seas, owning the temporary moments from the seas.”
like this??? Photo from online…
As the waves hit, taking in more and more sand; and the tides receded, the sand weathered through the various means each and every time, it’s, serendipity too. And, aren’t the meetings of people like so too? And so, when we’d met, it’s due to the random chances, and it should be, seen as something to be, cherished. And, I’d, believed, that this sort of a serendipitous meetings were, the hardest to come by affinity of our lives, and, after I’d understood this, it’d made me, cherish living in the moment more, loving everything in the now.
In life, there are, a ton of serendipitous moments, and, there may be, a ton of coincidences, and, more of the hard-to-come-by affinities, the passing by suddenly, it’d, brought in, the multiple grains of sands; and, there are, those, hardest to come by connections, hidden between people that pass each other by, and it all relies on, how we can, notice these connections, and to learn to, cherish it.
and this, is what you’ll, get…
My friend picked up a handful of sand, and let the sand fall through his fingers, and, his handful, became, hand empty, and suddenly, he’d felt that strong sense of loss; and, as I’d, bent down, grabbed another handful, I’d, not allowed the grains, to slip through my hands as easily, from this, I’d, learned, to not take any of my interactions with everybody I met in this world, for granted.
And so, this, is some simple notion, and yet, it may take some people, a whole life to learn it, and yet, not even, quite mastered it completely, and, this trip to the beach, and made this individual realize, how precious his relationships with others are.
