How this woman, worked hard, to become, who she is currently, an example of how hard work can pay off, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

Mary Daly who had, dropped out of high school, starting October first, became the C.E.O. of the biggest Federal Bank of the U.S. in San Francisco, she was, the third female who acted as the total number of twelve C.E.O.s of the Federal Bank of the U.S.

This meant, that Daly will be in charge of deciding the rates of the interests, and on top of that, she would also be in charge of over hundreds of employees, including the systems of economic research, and the watchers of the banks too.

She Was a High School Dropout, Worked as a Salesclerk at a Counter

At age fifty-five, there are, so many colorful moments of Daly’s life.  She’d dropped out of high school back at age fifteen, and started working at a donut shop, and worked as a counter lady for the female underwear section of Target store, back then, her wish, was to find a better job in a counter at a mall.

Met Someone Who’d Helped Her, Returned Back to School

At that time, Daly met her mentor, therapist, Betsy Bane.  And, in Bane’s pushing her to, Daly passed her GED, and took a semester of courses in University of Missouri, then, finished her studies in the University of Missouri in the city of Kansas.  Bane said, “she’s so intelligent, and wanted to learn, it would be, such a shame, if she didn’t get a degree.”

Life in university wasn’t easy at all for Daly, because she’d had to part-time through her schooling career, she’d, flunked out of two of the courses, and, with the help of the counselors, she’d started tutoring students, instead of part-timing through school.  Having grown up in poverty, it’d made Daly understood the trials of life for the people in the lower end of the socioeconomic statuses, she’d become a “people’s economist” in her coworkers at the Federal Bank’s belief.

After Daly showed an interest in economics, she’d received her masters in U. of I. Urbana-Champagne, then, went to study at Syracuse for her doctorate, after she’d received her doctorate at Northwestern University.  She’d specialized in labor economics, including the moving of the wages, the distance between the rich and the poor, as well as policies of retirement.  In 1996, she’d become, the economist of the Federal Bank in San Francisco, and started climbing the ladder all the way up in the research department.

The former chairperson, Yellen, after she was promoted to the C.E.O. of the Federal Bank of U.S. in San Francisco, Daly started getting into the meetings with the heads of the company.  Every time before Yellen goes to the FOMC meetings, she’d asked her to provide the newest information of the American labor markets, to use as information for her report.

Yellen Pointed the Way, Helping to Open Up Daly’s Career

Daly said, that after Yellen became the C.E.O. of the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco, she’d given her a ton of opportunities.  She’d recalled, “through interacting with Yellen, I’d answered her questions, and, imitated her way of thinking, I’d, learned to use the economic and labor economics to observe the trends.”  As Daly became the head of research in December of 2016, the former C.E.O., Williams was transferred out, to work as the C.E.O. of the Federal Reserve Bank in New York, Daly became, the most likely candidate, to take the position.

Daly is a lesbian, and she was, extremely concerned, over how the field of economics being dominated by men, as he was the head of research, she was successful, in hiring the evened number of male and female research assistants.

Williams gave her the commends, “economics is a primarily male-dominant field, and these men usually came out of topnotch institutions, and had, lived in the ivory towers in various aspects of their lives, Daly’s example will inspire the people.”

And so, this, is how this woman had, worked hard, to become someone in a power position, and this still just showed, that if you have an area of interest, you should, go into it, and just, worked hard, to study all you can in that specific area, and, surely enough, you will, get noted, like this woman had.
