The development of the child in the case, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The three-year-old young boy in Hsinchu because of being developmentally delayed and behavioral problems, was abused, the young child’s father said he was diagnosed with Asperger’s; the doctors believed, that in similar situations, the parents should get the children into the early intervention programs, as soon as they can, and the parents needed to have the will, the desires, to help the child, and getting involved with the physicians, the teachers, with the early intervention activities, learn how to teach and interact with the children with special needs, be patient, that way, the children will show progress and improvements steadily.
The police paraphrased the father’s claims, that two weeks ago, the child intentionally defecated on the bed where he and his cohabiting partner slept on, and played with his own feces, that was why he’d, tied up the child’s wrists as punishment, that it was only symbolic, not child abuse.
The child’s father also told the D.A., that the child’s behavioral problems were due to his Asperger’s, that the diagnosis was confirmed by the MacKay Memorial Hospital, but there was no record of the early intervention programs the young child was registered for; the Department of Social Services stated, that the parents had filed of income assistance using the names of their two sons, but, they had, yet to seek out medical help, they will check with the hospital to see if this is a fact.
And so, this, is a case, of neglecting to take care of one’s own young, and, abuse came after that, this just showed, how some parents are way too not proactive enough, to get their young children diagnosed, and into the early intervention programs, and, you can see why, this young boy had, gone to the bathroom all over the places, right? Because he wasn’t socialized properly, by his parents, as his father and his cohabiting partner used punishments, when he’d, “misbehaved”, when they should’ve looked deeper, to see the CAUSE of his “misbehaviors”.
