In the BROAD DAYLIGHT!!! Someone, with a mental illness, left, untreated, and this, is what happened, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man, Chou on the 8th, grabbed Wu’s seven year-old daughter in front of her on the streets, and it wasn’t until a fellow pedestrian stopped him, did he leave; as the incident happened, the police took Chou into custody, suspected that he was mentally ill, they’d found him at NTU Hospital yesterday, and reported him to the psychiatric department, and placed him under police surveillance as they took him to the hospital.
The police found that Chou (age 33) works for a recreation management company, he’d worked as a lifeguard at the building, close to where the child was grabbed, he doesn’t have any priors. He claimed, that he mistakenly thought that the victim was a friend that lived in Sanxia, but the surveillance showed, that as the mother and daughter turned away from him, he’d continually pulling, the police are having doubts over his testimony.
This case of attempted child abduction happened on the eighth in the early evenings, as Wu went to pick her daughter up from afterschool program, they’d walked past Mingchuan E. Road section six, Chou was standing in the walkways, smoking, as the mother daughter passed him, suddenly, he’d, reached out, grabbed the child’s backpack, looked like he was going to, abduct her.
Wu was thrilled and turned around, grabbed a hold onto her daughter tight, the child became unsteady, was about to fall down, Chou still refused to let her go, until a fellow passerby came to see what was happening, then, he’d, let go of the child, and left.
The police contacted Chou’s boss, and were told, that he had a “brain tumor” and was on his way to the N.T.U. Hospital. The police went to N.T.U. Hospital, to ask him to tell his side, he’d refused to go with them, claimed that he’d needed surgeries on his brains, and in his heart too, he’d held onto the coins and the charms tight, moving them up and down.
The police immediately contacted the emergency case medical team from the Department of Sanitations, and called up the Beitou Branch of the Tri-Service General Hospital, and as the physicians came to the site to evaluate, the police escorted Chou to the hospital for treatment.
And so, apparently, this man was having a psychotic break, and, this just showed, how serious someone can endanger this world, if s/he lets her/his mental illness go untreated, and, this man will more than likely, to commit this sort of crime again, if he doesn’t get the medical treatments he’d needed, and he may also be in need of behavioral therapy too!
