He’d Stabbed His Girlfriend Who was an Internet Reporter Five Times to Her Death, the Former Boyfriend Cried and Told the Police that He Didn’t Want to Live Anymore

Murder, and now, he cries, wah-wah-wah!!!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The 17-LIVE anchor, Chiu was stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend, Liao, the Taipei District Attorney’s Office charged Liao with murder yesterday.  Right after he’d murdered the woman, Liao was arrested, and taken to trial, as the Taipei District Court opened the trials, Liao cried in court, said how sorry he was toward the family of the victim.  After the judge ruled on the case, he believed, that Liao is a serious criminal, at flight risk, and mandated his being taken into custody.

The officers investigated and found, that Liao (age 27) who works in the service industries had been dating Chiu (age 26) for over three years, they cohabited at a building on Zhongshan N. Road.  In February, Chiu wanted to break up, Liao moved out.

The indictment papers pointed out, that Liao couldn’t cope with Chiu breaking up with him, suspected that she’d started dating another, or that their mutual friend, Chen was between them, she’d turned him down, when he’d wanted to get back together, and thought of murdering her.  On the afternoon of May 28th, Liao went to Chiu’s resident, told the guard that he was about to go abroad the following day, and needed to talk to Chiu, and successfully entered into the apartment complex, and hidden himself in the stairs, waited for Chiu to head out.

In order to work up the courage, Liao started drinking in the staircases, and as he saw Chiu opened up the door, he’d rushed up, and, held a knife to her throat.  Chiu screamed, the neighbor, a friend, Chen heard her, came out, and hollered at Liao, he took her into the apartment, and started stabbing at her, five times, and, Chiu died, after the emergency resuscitation measures were performed on her.

The Taipei District Attorney’s indictment toward Liao stated, that because the woman broke up with Liao, he felt displeased, and, the love he had for her turned to hate, and he’d used extreme measures to murdering her, and wrote a fake suicide note, to make it look like she couldn’t live without him, suggested to the courts, to give him the maximum sentence.

In court, Liao denied that he had, intentionally murdered Chiu, and stated that he forgot how he’d ended up, stabbing her to death, and only admitted to that the injury he’d sustained, was from the physical confrontation.  He said, “I’d blocked the door, she ran in, and I’d, left the knife on the floor, and we started, getting physical with each other.”

He said, that he’d not known that he’d injured Chiu, until the police knocked, he’d gone to answer the door, that, was when he’d found a puddle of blood on the floors.

The judge asked him if he had any objections on being taken into custody?  He’d started to cry suddenly, and said, “no, I want to be taken in.  Whether or not anybody believes, I had no intentions of hurting anybody, I’d not successfully committed suicide, and had, caused her to die, causing grief to everybody who knew, and loved her, I have no right to live anymore, I can’t bear with the pains, of living, I’m truly sorry toward the members of her family.”

And so, based off of this, the man had stabbed the woman, in a rage, and, because he couldn’t cope with how she’d broken up with him, and saw her interacted with her neighbor, and, he’d let his jealousy take over, and ended up, murdering the woman he loved dearly.
