Getting that very first job after you’d graduated, that’s, never easy, as you’d, never worked before, you’d, lacked the experiences the companies are, searching for when they hire, but, you have to, start somewhere, translated…
“You’d just sent out 100 résumés.”
The heat of the southern sun was evil, the golden shower tree lowered its, golden flowers, like that knife, ready to strike, counted down to graduation, where the students will no longer be, students, but competitors in the workforce.
“Ten companies had read your résumé.”
The professional headshot, with the embellishments of the work abilities, the self intro that makes one stand out, put onto that precise, systematic, or, colorful form. With a few worldly greetings on the letters, with attachments, clicking of the mouse, unseen, by our naked eyes, speedily, transferred, into the e-mail boxes of prospective employers.
The afternoon shower thundered down, the golden shower trees still looked, flaming, sometimes, it’d, expected, sometimes, judgmental, like the adults who’d, rushed you, to grow up.
“You just received an invitation for an interview!”
Ah, the knife left my waist, are the battle drums, rolling now?
Put on that square hat, sown the seeds, hearing the golden flame trees words of expert advice, but, my armor is, nothing more, than a piece of paper, my diploma, I’d, gone up north for battle, and, received nothing but cold stares, I’d, become, injured in battle, swallowed in, all my own defeats…………
This would be, the common problem of all newly graduates, because you’d not had any full-time working experiences, which is why, it’s, very difficult, that very first job right after graduation, and yet, everybody starts somewhere, we all, start with, absolutely, ZERO experiences, then, we grow, we learn, and, become more educated in working…
