The survey, that showed, WHY this country’s reading ability is, declining!!! From the Newspapers, translated…

The King Car Literacy Foundation posted its survey results, that over sixty-percent of teens spent less than an hour to read the materials outside of classes, and, over fifty percent of the surveyed didn’t buy any reading books outside of the academia, and it’d showed, how under the stresses of testing and studies, the adolescents in this country aren’t reading enough, and the parents don’t encourage them to, and couldn’t set a better example, to read alongside with their young.

The survey sampled a total of 2,542 students from fifth grade to the second year of high school, and found, that over 64-percent of the students spent less than an hour reading materials outside of class, and less than twenty-percent of surveyed teens spent over two hours reading; and still, over fifty-percent of teens believed they’d spent enough time on reading outside of school and class. Over sixty-percent of teens believed that testing and the studies are the primary causes of their reading time being reduced.

And, fifty-three percent of teens wouldn’t spend money on reading materials outside of class, only 5.6 percent spent over $1,000N.T. on reading materials unrelated to school; and, the reading materials for teens are composed of books checked out from the public and school libraries, and the most widely read are the literatures, then, the fantasy/sci-fi; as for the information on what they can read comes from online, and the teachers only had a very tiny influence on what the students may pick up to read.

The parents need to set a better example in reading for their young, but the surveys showed, that under thirty-percent of parents enjoy reading.

And so, because they’re NOT used to reading to their kids, their children are less likely, to learn the joys of reading, compared to how the western world does it, the parents in the U.S. at least, they would take their own young to the libraries, to check out the books the kids want to read, but NOT here, because that, is NOT a trend, and this would cause the decline in the love of reading, for the students here, and, if this next generation of children don’t get into the habits of reading books for pleasure, chances are, when they’re old enough, and reproduced children themselves, they’re, LESS than likely, to read with their own young, and, the next generations of children who are BORN with a high-tech device in their tiny hands is what we’re looking at

how can you expect this to happen???  Photo from online…
