Chang, Tsai, Wu, Yu, and a teenager, Tsao, two years ago, enticed a travel agent, Chen out to a rental suite, using the excuse of they needed to make the exchange for American dollars, they were suspected of beating, and robbing the man for $140,000U.S., afterwards, they’d handcuffed Chen to the handles of the bathroom, the victim had, kicked, and loosened himself from the tapes that bound his hands, and made a lot of noises, thirty-seven hours later, he was, finally rescued, the Taichung District Attorney’s Office charged the teens, Yu and Tsao.
The D.A. indicted Chang, Tsai, and Wu, who’d believed that the agent of the travel agency, Chen had worked in making the currency exchanges on his own, that he’d made good money, and they’d, conspired against him, Chang and Tsai had gone to Chen to exchange the money, got his trust; in November of 2016, Chang used a false name, took out a rental suite in November of 2016, while Tsai found the teenagers, Yu and Tsao, to work alongside Wu, and they’d agreed to pay them $15,000N.T. after the deal went through.
On December 7th two years ago, Tsai met Chen to make the exchange for $140,000U.S.; the victim arrived in the afternoon, followed Tsai into the suite, and was immediately attacked by Wu, Yu and Tsao, after Tsai took the $140,000U.S. that Chen had with him, he’d dragged him into the bathroom, and cuffed his hand on the bathtub handles, and taped up his ankles, and his mouth too, then, the group left.
As the victim loosened the tape on his mouth, he’d called out for help continually, and kicked the tub, the sink, to make all the noises he can; thirty-seven hours later, the security heard the noises, and notified the landlord to open the doors, and that was when the victim was, rescued.
This occurred in the city of Taipei, Chang and Tsai who were involved in the case had already made their escapes, the D.A. on September 30th of last put out a robbery arrest warrant, Wu was prosecuted for robbery by the D.A.’s offices, and his charges were pending trial in Taipei right now. The two adolescents made their ways back home to Yunlin to hide, and they were found by the police task force, the Taichung Juvenile Court gave the case to the Taichung District Court to prosecute.
And, this still just showed, that if you do something illegal, you will get caught, and, this agent is way too inexperienced, and hopefully, after this incident, he’d, learned his lessons, and not trusted just anybody who wanted to make exchanges with him in cash.
