The Thrills in the Bathrooms

Remembering those old days, translated…

I’d gone to military school from back when, all our time in the schools, were, closely watched over by the school officials, no matter what we do, at what time, there’s, no chance of fouling up; of these, the major things such as taking a shower, other than the specified time, the students weren’t allowed to take their showers at anytime they pleased, especially after ten in the night, unless you get the consensus from the officials, you weren’t even, allowed into the bathrooms.

It was the summer, at eleven at night, my older schoolmate who’s naturally optimistic and full of humor, who’d not cared too much for the rules, because it was too hot, he’d, snuck into the bathrooms, and, hummed a tune as he’d showered, and, as he was just enjoying himself in the showers, he’d heard footsteps, nearing, coming, towards the bathrooms!

And, my older schoolmate who knew he’d broken the rules, without a second word, he’d, hopped, into the large bath pool, and held his breath, to hide there.

The man who’d entered into the bathrooms, was a small-framed, kind and gentle, elder superior officer whom we’d noted as “second in command of head of class”, as he slowly disrobed, and readied himself for his own bath, my older schoolmate who was holding his breath, couldn’t anymore, and, popped out of the pools.

And, the superior officer was so thrilled by him, hollered aloud, “a GHOST!”, then, run off naked, toward his own quarters. And this had, awakened everybody else, and naturally, this included our platoon leader, along with the leader of our sect, and everybody else too. And, the older schoolmate, naturally, got his share of punishment, and this, “haunted bathrooms” incident also became, the fifth squadron’s tall-tales for long.

Don’t know why I’m reminded of my head of the class today, it’d been thirty-one years since I was under your leadership, are you, like you were back then?

So, even though, you must’ve drilled too hard in the army schools, there are, these moments that were, quite interesting, that after you’d grown up, and thought back, that would, bring a smile onto your face.
