Observations, on same-sex marriages, and, rights for adoption of same-sex couples, on gay rights, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The 2016 American Presidential Elections, Trump from the Republican Party had won, it’d made all the observers, shocked. And still, if you analyze why he’d won, the conservative, family-oriented voters were able to, ignore his personal negative moral image, and saw the political message he was trying to send, including being against abortion, against same-sex marriages, and supporting religious freedom, they’d, voted for him.

For example, the 1973 decision of Roe vs. Wade, the fourth, the ninth, the fourteenth amendments found that women have the right to choose to abort. Although this right had been in existence for as long as forty-five years, very hard, to turn over, but the conservatives hoped, to limit this right, if underage minors wanted abortions, they would have to get the consents from their parents.

By the same token, the verdict in the 2015 Obergefell vs. Hodges, the Supreme Court mandated that every state MUST allow for same-sex marriages, and, those who are against it hoped to use the reason of religious freedom, to allow those who are against same-sex marriages to not be forced in participation of the same-sex marriage ceremonies, and to not get accused of being discriminatory against homosexuals. The Supreme Courts ruling on Masterpieces Cakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, was on how the bakers can refuse to make the wedding cakes for same-sex couples, because of their religions Even though, this master baker stated that they could by any other baked goods ,and these same-sex couples were, able to get the wedding cake they’d wanted at another bakery, this master baker was still, sued for being discriminatory. Another case was on as owner of a florist shop’s unwillingness to decorate the wedding of a frequent homosexual person, and was sued for it, and, the reason was that her own personal religious beliefs wouldn’t allow her to help this person out.

The conservatives are not just against same-sex marriages, they’re, also against adoptions of children by same-sex couples. Of course, normally, the agencies for child adoption would not be able to deny the requests of same-sex couples adopting children, at the same time, when they made their final decisions, they couldn’t deny the same sex couple’s rights to adopt, based off of their sexual orientation, California has this rule, written in the state laws. But, if it’s from a private institution, set up by a church, could the organization deny the rights to adopt children to same-sex couples?

In May, Kansas and Oklahoma, had passed the laws of how the private adoption agencies can deny the same sex couple’s adopting children, based off of their sexual orientation. Some of the liberals in both states had, wanted the Governor of Oklahoma to veto the bill, but in the end, the legislatures of both states passed this into law.

Actually, before same-sex marriages were legalized in 2015, the predominant Republican states of North Dakota and Virginia already passed the religious freedom acts of the private adoption agencies. Following, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Michigan, South Dakota, and Georgia followed the lead, and now, Kansas and Oklahoma were added, there were, one-fifth of the states in U.S., and, in these ten states, other than Virginia being a swing-vote state, the rest were red states that supported Donald Trump in the election of 2016. It’s estimated that in the few years that follow, there would be more southern and midwestern states, that will, pass similar acts.

what it stands, as it currently is, on same-sex adoption…found online…

Religious Freedom is one of the most important of the Bill of Rights. A lot of the scholars believed, that it should have that priority place, that it’s, the very first, most important freedom. Although the ruling on June 4th against the baker made this constitutional right stand, partially, but, this was only, a specific case, it’s not likely it will, be generalized. In the future, it’s, still unclear if the person can use reason of religion, to not participate in same-sex marriage processions, and the rights of same-sex couples are guaranteed, it’s, still unclear.

And so, this, is still the debate on same-sex marriages, and, although the U.S. passed the laws, to make it unconstitutional, to BAN same-sex marriages, but, there are still, so many fine-print rules, that keeps these same-sex couples, from living the life they so choose, and, you call that equal rights for all??? Give ME a break here!!!
