Using Love to Educate, Not Just by Tolerating the Students

After reading, “The Children with NO Assets Need the Education of Love Even More”, I’d felt that strong connection, the calls for “education of love” everybody knows, but, how do we offer it? How would the policies of government work towards providing it? It surely, deserves, careful attention.

The husband of my student worked as a school principal in the distant regions, not only does he come into contact with children with NOTHING, there were also, parents and grandparents who were, in debts too. Because the time, the energies, and manpower doesn’t balance out, at first, he’d felt it difficult, to exert the counseling measures, later, he’d, employed many methods, including helping the local farmers sell their produces online, and, in the cabbage harvest, he’d had the entire school help make kimchi; and, set up the potted plants for sale, made by the elderly who lived alone……with everybody’s working hard on it, it’d, slowly, deterred the fate of the school’s getting merged, the members of the community started, moving back in, and, the smiles, returned too.

Recently, he’d come up with a brand new plan: use the campus, to teach the school’s students to plant the vegetables, and after the harvest, to teach the children to select, to clean up the produce they’d grown, then, packaged them up, and, sent the packages into the home of the elderly who lived on their own in the local communities. And because children had this firsthand experience of helping others, they’d gotten a wider look, and it’d, slowly, made some of the problems they were facing inside their separate homes vanish too, they started seeing their own values, and loved themselves, their schools, their hometown as well.

Love isn’t a sort of a one-sided tolerance, from the photos of this school principal, I’d witness, what “education using love” is all about!

And so, this, is the wonderful action of a school principal, by getting the students involved in the community services, he’d helped these kids found their own worth, to know their own values, and at the same time, those who received the assistance had, benefitted too, and this is a great way of teaching the students how to give back to the community.
