The foreman was, using a round-and-about way, of BUSTING the thief who was someone who was trusted by the owner of the plant, translated…
A warm day in March, the colorful azaleas bloomed, making the noises, coming from this mechanical plant in the countryside, sounded so, solitary. As I was tidying up the blueprints, two technicians came before me, face all white, they were, recent graduates out of high school, because they lived on the eastern parts of the island, they usually, stayed in the dorms here.
“Mr. Engineer, there’s, ghosts in our dorm!”
“What?”
“It’s true, please help us, every night in the later hours, there would be, footsteps, pacing outside our quarters, we’re, so afraid! We’d covered our head with the quilts, but still couldn’t sleep, and we’d not dared, tell anybody else about it.”
“Okay, I’ll think of something then.”
And so, I’d, asked along the foreman for a discussion on the issues. This retired serviceman who’s over fifty, didn’t say a single word after I’d told him, just, stared at me hard, then, blurted out, “Haunted!” then, turned around and left. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, this guy must not think much of me, this young lad who’s, just, started working then.
I’d made up my mind, to find out exactly, where this “ghost” is, and, tiptoed to the side of the dormitories, listened close, and surely enough, there were, footsteps, and, recalled how the back of the factory was a burial site, so scary!”, but, I’d, checked the premises, and found something out of the ordinary, the sound was actually, the rain, falling on the brown paper bags.
But, that’s not right, why would these brow paper bags be here in the first place?
The development of the story, was out of expectation, it was, the senior engineer whom the owner of the plant had, trusted the most, stealing from the office. That was when it’d, hit me, the foreman was implicitly telling me, that there was, a thief in our midst.
And so, the foreman was experienced, to know, that he shouldn’t, confront the man who was, stealing from the plant, he’d used a round-and-about way of telling the person in charge of operations, and catch the man who was stealing from the plant.
