The Shooter Screamed, “All Hail Allah!”
In the third largest city of Belgium, Liege, there was another terrorist attack on the 29th, a man who just got released from jail attacked a female officer with a knife, after he’d gotten the gun from her, he’d murdered her, and another female officer, and gunned down another man who was a bystander at the scene. After the suspect shot the three people, he made his way into a nearby school, and held a female custodian hostage, and died in the gunfire as he was at a standoff with the officers. As the suspect was on his shooting rampage, he’d screamed aloud, “All hail Allah!”, the police are looking at this incident as a terrorist attack, but the motive of this shooting is still pending investigation.
The 36-year-old suspect was from Belgium, served his jail term for drug related charges in the prison of Liege. At around ten in the morning of the 29th, he’d attacked two police officers outside a local café with a craft’s knife, after the female officer was injured, the suspect got a hold of her gun, and shot and murdered two bystanders, then, opened fire at a parked car, shot a twenty-two year-old male who was sitting in the passenger seat, causing the casualty.
Afterwards, the suspect escaped to a nearby middle school, and held a female janitor hostage, thankfully, the school evacuated the students and the staff members, there weren’t any students who were injured. The police who received the call from the school, shot the man in the gunfire, in the process, two more officers were injured.
The T.V. station, RTBF in Belgium reported, that the suspect was labeled as “emotionally unstable”, the police are looking to see if he had, come into contact with the terrorist beliefs in prison.
The prime minister offered his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and said, that it’s still too early to say what was the real cause of this shooting rampage.
And so, this may only be an isolated incident, but, not likely, because the shooter did scream, “All hail Allah!”, which is why it led people to believe, that this is a lone wolf terrorist attack, and there are, more and more of these lone wolf attacks, not organized, which makes them harder to find out before the shooting happens, because these individuals are acting alone, they’re not, a part of a larger organization, and, if they were, then, they would be, easier to spot…
