The argument, that escalated, and, money issue with the couple, also became, a factor, of the murder of his ex-wife, and his suicide attempt too! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A Sixty-Year-Old Man, Wang in Keelung, Was Suspected of Murdering His Own Wife, then, Committing Suicide by Slashing His Own Neck; the Police aren’t Ruling Out that the Couple Were Arguing Over Money that Led to This Tragedy, They Called the District Attorney’s Office to Help Rule the Matter.
Their eldest daughter, who was the one to have found the couple lying in the pool of blood was melting down, in the E.R. of the hospital, she got down on her knees, begged the doctors to save her parents’ lives, as the hospital declared both her parents dead, she’d cried aloud, “What am I going to do!”, fell limp onto the floor.
The police, fire department of Keelung received a call that there was a couple injured in the bedroom of a residential building in Keelung, the fire department and the ambulance rushed over, they’d found Wang to have two knife wounds on the right side of his neck, his wife, Su (age 59) had knife wounds on her right chest, and back, the two were passed out from losing too much blood, the fire department immediately rushed the couple to the Keelung branch of the Changgang Hospital, after an hour’s worth of emergency resuscitation measures, they are still, dead.
The police investigation showed, that for the past over twenty years, Wang and Su didn’t get along, and the couple considered their daughter, and so, they were still married; because of work, Wang had lived with his own mother on Sieh-He Street, and returned back to the Fuxing residence to stay with his wife and daughter; Su lived with their eldest daughter, the couple rarely spoke to each other.
Awhile ago, when Wang was off from work, he’d returned to his residence on Fuxing Road, at around seven in the morn, the eldest daughter saw her mother in the bedroom, her father in the kitchen, cutting some fruits; and, the eldest turned back home at eleven in the morn, as she’d forgotten her cell phone, saw her parents lying in blood by accident.
The police disclosed, that Wang worked for Taipower Company, he’d recently wanted to put in the papers for his retirement, but worried that he may not have enough in retirement funds to live off of, he’d become, too stressed that he couldn’t sleep, and, he’d stopped, paying his wife as much alimonies as he had done, and the police aren’t ruling out the two had starting fighting over the money, that’s caused the murder.
The police said, at the scene of the crime, there was a fruit knife, and no signs of struggles in the living room or the bedroom. They’d based off of the fact, that Su’s injuries were located on her back, Wang’s, on his neck, and as Su was taken to the hospital, rigor had, set in that she’d died earlier than Wang, they believed, that Wang had, hacked down and murdered his own wife, then taken his own life.
And so, had this couple gotten a divorce, and moved away from one another, then, this tragedy could’ve easily been, avoided, but it wasn’t, because the Chinese people believed, that we must put on a good face for our young, and I believe, that it is this belief, that may have, contributed to these two deaths.
