Grandmother Loved Him the Best…Was it His Debts that Drove Him to Murder?

Tragedy, and people still MURDER, for a whole lot less in this world here, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The construction worker, Kuo had murdered his own maternal grandparents and great uncle and great aunt, the neighbors, the close relatives disbelieved, that “someone who’s so courteous, who’d taken care of the potted plants carefully is capable of murder”; the police investigated, and made the deductions that the motive of his murder was his losing control due to the debts he’d, accumulated.

The manager of the local police substation, Chang knew Kuo’s parents for over thirty years, he said, that Kuo originally took up fixing cars with his own father, later, he’d struck out on his own, and couldn’t do well. Kuo’s father had once paid up his debts of over $400,000N.T.s, and recently, there seemed to be another huge debt, and although Kuo’s father promised to help him pay it up, he’d not told his father exactly how much he’d owed.

The police investigated, that Kuo worked the construction jobs, didn’t have any priors in crimes, nor was he abusing drugs, he’d once taken out a loan from the bank for business, owed over $700,000N.T.s, but, how much he owed exactly, he’d not said; his wife told that she’d received the debt collecting letters from the banks, but she didn’t open it, so she has no idea how much he’d owed; Kuo took the few thousand dollars from his great uncle and maternal grandmother, and, immediately paid up some of the debts he’d accumulated.

The three murder victims were all close to eighty years old, they were all farmers of the lands locally, were doing well, had simple lifestyles. Lee was a representative of the Nanhua District’s farmers’ association representative, was elected the man in charge of the neighborhood too, his wife, Lee-Su was a housewife; Lee-Hu lost her husband two years ago, and her eldest son died of sclerosis that same year, everybody is a relative in the neighborhood, and would look out for each other normally.

The man in charge of the Bei-Liao Borough, Lin said, that the locals are very plain and simple, and, as the news of the murder got out, everybody was scared, the deceased were all “very kind folks”. The Lees had mentioned when they were still alive, that the grandson of their eldest brother that lived next door was trouble, that every time he’d returned, he’d stolen or borrowed the money, but there weren’t any incidents of conflicts, but this time, he’d, murdered them all.

The neighbors told, that Kuo, the suspect had been close to his maternal grandmother, and she’d loved him very much too, and after his grandfather passed, she’d lived on her own, and every time he’d gone back to visit her, she’d made the meals for him; at the beginning of this year, he’d stolen over $200,000N.T. from her, and she’d not called the cops on him.

Kuo’s wife looked after their young at home, the super of their building told, that the couple was very courteous to others, that he’d not believed, that Kuo would kill someone because of debts.

And so, this is how debts can make you do crazy things, and, this man was apparently, in too deep, and he’d dug his own grave, and was suffocated, and, he’d killed his next-of-kin, and stolen their money to pay up what he’d owed, and people are still, murdering, for very little here.
