Murder, with the motive still under investigations, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The thirty-nine-year-old Wang awhile ago, was found drowned in Xinei, the police found that his cohabiting partner, Liu was a prime suspect; back then, Liu was going through the funeral processions. She said, she had a heated argument with him, and in the heat of the moment, she’d pushed him into the dam, but didn’t tell the police why, she was charged with murder and taken into custody.
At the creek in Taiping District of Taichung, under the Tienda Bridge, on the fourth, there was a male corpse found there, the police managed to make a positive identification from the cell phone the body had, that it was Wang. They were able to find in the dam upstream, what seemed to be the clothes he was wearing, they’d originally ruled it as an accidental death from falling into the creeks, but there wasn’t any form of transportation nearby, which made the police suspicious.
The police filtered through the traffic cam, found that two days before his death, he was ridden out on a scooter by the thirty-six year-old woman, Liu who’d shared the same apartment with him to the North Field Bridge, and she was the only one who’d returned back; Liu was sentenced to seven month eleven days for theft charges, didn’t report to serve her sentence, so she had an active arrest warrant on her.
Two days ago, the police went to the Taichung city funeral home, and brought Liu who was at the funeral back with them, back then she’d acted that it wasn’t related to her, firmly stated, “I had nothing to do with it”, until the police showed her the surveillance footages, did she admit to pushing the man into the creeks.
Liu claimed, that on the morning of the second, they were drinking at their place; at around one in the afternoon, Wang invited her out for a swim in the creek, she was the one riding the scooter, after they got there, they’d walked down to the bridge, and they had a verbal altercation, it’d made her angry, and so she’d pushed him, and after she saw that Wang stopped struggling, she just, rode away.
The older brother of the deceased told the police, that Liu and they are all natives, they lived together, and were in close contact with one another, she’d even called him godfather; the deceased was mildly retarded, and after he’d gone missing, the older brother asked Liu, Liu claimed that she’d sent him out to buy some alcohol on May 1st, and hadn’t seen him since.
After Wang’s body was discovered, Liu had gone to the shrines to offer incense, to attend the wake, and stated that she saw the deceased in her sleep telling her, “Younger sister, I’m so very cold, come save me.” with the backdrop of the dreams being the bridge; the older brother of the deceased told, that Liu appeared very calm, that he couldn’t imagine that she’d murdered his younger brother.
Because Liu kept silent about the motives of the murder, and why they’d started arguing, the D.A. believed there’s more to the case, and asked the courts to take her into custody, so they can investigate further.
And so, from this, you can see, how women can also be perpetrators of murders, and this was due to an argument that lasted, and there may be more to it, that the woman’s not telling the cops…
