The standing committee board member of the Four Seas Gang, Wu was arrested at the end of last year for making threats to extort money, as the police were taking his DNA, they’d accidentally found that he was involved in a cold case of robbery-rape twenty-two years ago. As he was arrested, he’d claimed that it was too long ago, he’d forgotten if he’d done it or not, and after the police interrogated him, they sent him to the D.A.’s Offices to be prosecuted.
The police found, that on the evening of August 9th, 1996, the victim woman walked toward her car parked on Hsinshen N. Road, and was forced into her car by a man, he’d raped her, and robbed her of the $30,000N.T. she had with her.
The Zhongshan Police Substation found a suspicious piece of clothing, with the blood stains, and they were able to collect the DNA evidence from the victim’s jeans, and, the blood and semen were from the same person, but they’d hit a dead-end on identifying the perpetrator.
Based off of the criminal laws, the period of statute of limitation was only twenty years, and now, it’d become thirty-years. But whether or not Wu will pay for the rape he’d committed twenty-two years ago, the police aren’t confident about, they will send Wu to the D.A. to see.
And this still showed, that if you’d done something bad, it’s only a matter of time that you get caught, and it didn’t matter if the statutory period is up, this man will pay for what he’d done to that poor woman twenty-two years ago, and he will be serving the time for what he was caught for recently too!
