The adolescent was singled out by his school instructor, ran away from home, refused to go to school, the education groups said honestly, “this was NOT an isolated case”. The experts pointed out, that the teachers can physically punish the students now, some of the instructor chose to shame and isolate the students as punishment, and it’d caused, MORE damages on their psyches, “the physical injuries will eventually heal, but the hurt inside will NEVER heal back up.”
The offices of the Human Rights Foundation in the southern parts, Chang stated, that the foundation had received many complaint cases, of how the students were isolated by the instructors, how the instructor had taught the other students, to bully the individual students, and even had the student take her/his desk out in the hall for class. When adolescents can find that place to belong in in a group, in the more serious cases, they may run away, or start mutilating themselves.
Chang suggested, that as parents learned that their children didn’t want to go to school, they shouldn’t blame them, instead, they should ask, “What happened at school to make you feel so awful?”, or just observe how the child behaves daily, if the child stalled in going to school, or had a sour face when s/he returns home from school, then, maybe, they’d needed the help from adults to step in.
The Renewed Youth Foundation of R.O.C.’s office manager, Chen said, that it wasn’t an isolated incident that the teacher took the lead, having the rest of the class bully one student, there were a lot of adolescents who had had troubles, belonging in school, and at home, the parents couldn’t understand why the youth didn’t want to go to school, leaving them with the only option of escaping home.
Chen said, the underage adolescents leaving home, they will need money to live off, and there were the cases of adolescents who’d moved into the house of a drug dealer, and, started going down the path of drug abuse, there were underage adolescent females who ran away from home, who was absorbed by the solicitation groups, all of these, are the dangers that teens leaving home might face.

Chen suggested, that the words of the instructors may affect a teen for life, that education is not just on graduating, the instructors should NOT take their own stresses out on the students, and the parents also need to take time after work to accompany the children, to chit chat about how they’re doing in school, to understand their young better, to avoid these sorts of tragedies from happening repeatedly.
And so, this is hard, being bullied by the teachers and the rest of the class at school, and when you go home, your parents don’t take you seriously enough, no wonder teens are running away, and, a lot of them went “wrong” with that very FIRST step they took away, from their homes, and yet, parents are still too busy, making the money, to put their kids through a high-class education, making the money, sending them to cram school after school, so they can get a better education, wow, are you parents STUPID or what???
