What do we do, when we’re, STUCK in a dead-end job, with low pay, and long work hour, bad bosses, hard to get along coworkers??? Something those working in a 9 to 5 is surely to come across some time…translated…
I’d rolled around in the workforce for twenty plus years, seeing a ton of those highly paid employees from the skies come and go, seeing how awfully the company treated those harder working employees, who’d not fought hard for what they rightfully deserved. The wages became a result, of our separate abilities, meaning, that it can be based off of our learned knowledge, our experiences, or our capabilities, and it may also be based off of how good a reference we had put on our résumés, or even, our family backgrounds too, whatever the owner of the enterprises believed to be okay. As for if the wages we’d earned are equivalent to the amount of hard work we’d put in, nobody can be the judges of that, but ourselves.

It’s just, we’re, all ordinary people, when we’d felt that we weren’t treated fairly, in the mindset of comparing ourselves with others, we naturally, cared.
When I was in law school, the professor told us, that the goal of being in law was to see justice, and that should be so in the workforce too, what we’d cared about is being treated fairly. And of course, it may be more subjective, in weighing the treatments as being fair or unfair, when our wages are lower than someone else’s, we’d believed this to be unfair, but as we get paid more, we took it as matter-of-fact.
A friend who had worked in R&D in a huge enterprise told me, that working in the R&D department, is a twenty-four seven job, every day is trying, they couldn’t know when they get off work every day, and so, the lunch break became especially important; at lunch, everybody just wanted to get finished with the meals, and take their needed naps, and normally, they’d eaten the meals in just ten minutes. But he’d found, that a fellow coworker took his sweet time with his lunch, and usually by the time he’d eaten his lunch, there wasn’t much time left for him to take a short nap. He’d curiously asked him, that wouldn’t he feel tired? And his coworker asked him, what was the purpose of work? Was it not for the three meals, and if you are working for your three meals, then, why should you be rushing through the meals at work?”
Most people would agree, that working is for the betterment of life, so, even if work can’t make life better, then, you must think of some sort of changes you need to make. But, what can you change, in the workforce?
and, running the RAT race…
yup, it’s, like that all right! Image from online still…
There was a famous case in the U.S., it’s on the contracts that were written in black and white, the classic was that the Supreme Court Justice’s intonation for the contract, “Take it, or leave it”, you either accept it, or you don’t. Isn’t the workplace like so too, when you don’t have any expectation for work, and, lacked that fair treatment in it, a lot of people usually only have these two options: Yes, or No, depending on which one you choose.
And so, the question is quite simple: are you going to, stick to the work you hate, being treated unfairly at work, and complain incessantly about it to everybody you may know, or, are you going to, see the job as a way of making the ends meet, so you can put food on the table, and get those bills paid on time, or, are you going to have the GUTS to quit the work you’re currently doing, and hopefully, find something that’s better? These are the options that you have, so, which one’s it gonna be, huh???
