Nana’s First Baby Tooth “Clocked Out”

This marks, a very important milestone in a young child’s life, doesn’t it??? Translated…

A few days ago, my wife found that when Nana was laughing, that of the teeth on her bottom gums, there was, a bigger space between two of her baby teeth, instinctively, she’d believed, that her teeth are about to fall out, she’d immediately, shaken the teeth, to feel out the “distancing” to confirm her beliefs.

And naturally, it was so, one of them was, loosened, but back then, she’d, held back the urge to give our daughter the push she’d needed, because she didn’t know if Nana was, prepared or not? After all, losing the baby teeth are a brand new experience for a young child, and based off of our habits, we’re, used to helping our young understand the situations.

And so, my wife first used her humorous belief, to teach Nana about oral hygiene, and told, that the baby teeth are to accompany Nana through her childhood years, but around the age of six, her baby teeth will start falling out. As Nana became more and more interested in the stories, she’d forgotten her own anxiousness of how she was about to lose her baby teeth soon, she’d told her mommy, “I know! Because it’s time to get off work, so my baby teeth are going off work, then, my permanent teeth are taking over the shifts for my baby teeth, to help me when I eat for the rest of my life!”

With this sort of an interesting thought, Nana was, surely, ready, to lose her baby teeth. And so, as my wife cooked, she’d, intentionally, added in some of the foods that Nana can chew on; I’d also, joined in in helping, selected the guavas without getting rid of the seeds, hoping, that Nana can lose her teeth naturally when she eats things.

After a whole day’s worth of work, that baby tooth that’s, about to, “get off work”, could no longer steady its foothold, and, after we’d gotten the consensus from Nana, my wife used her two fingers, and, got Nana’s baby teeth “off work” for good, and it’d, finished its job.

And, we’d, given the retirement benefits to that baby tooth that’s, “clocked out” for good, and planned to let it find its permanent stay in the baby tooth box, and, we shall, wait until all of Nana’s baby teeth companions all falls off, then, seal up that era of “biting and chewing” of Nana’s early childhood years.

After losing her baby tooth, other than how Nana stopped feeling so anxious, she’d gained that brand new expectation for growing up too, because she knew, that having her first baby tooth out meant that she’s, growing up slowly, and, there are, more things she gets to do as she grows older.

But, what’s cuter was once as she was “observing” the baby tooth that’s been soaked up in peroxide, she’d lifted her head and smiled to me, “Pops, although I think, that losing my baby teeth is a good thing, but, there’s something that bothers me, that I would need to smile with my lips sealed when I get my photos from here on out, like this!”, seeing how she’d, minced up her lips, I was, almost laughing my butt off!

And so, these parents made the important milestone of their daughter getting her first baby tooth out an important one, and, it’s only, a part of the natural processes of growing up, that we lose our baby teeth one by one, and, having had this very first positive experience in losing her baby tooth, this young girl can have the confidence, to tackle the things that will be changing in her life, all because the parents gave her the chance, to participate in deciding when and how she can have her very first baby tooth taken out!
