Two men running insurances scams, Cheng and Chang-Chien, had falsified the diagnoses reports from various hospitals, and in just one year, they managed to get the payments of seven, to eight million dollars with the insured persons; as the detective agency were called, two days ago, they’d followed the leads, and found the men running the scams, along with the ten individuals who were insured, and, confiscated the fake tools they’d used, the D.A.’s office charged the two scam artist with fraud and falsifying documentations, and asked the courts to take them into custody, by evening, Cheng had a bail of $250,000N.T. set, while Chang-Chien was out on a bail of $200,000N.T.s, the rest were released.
The detective unit’s southern branch stated, that in February, the “Insurances Crime Prevention Center” had reported to the police that in Kaohsiung, there were many who were suspected of taking the falsified diagnoses from the hospitals to get the insurance claims; as the police chased the leads, they’d found that the falsified records were from Cheng (age 47), with priors in fraud and falsifying documentation, and Chang-Chien (age 33).
The police investigated, and found, that the two scam runners found the insured patients who were willing to collaborate with them, and had agreed on a 30-percent commission for the total pay off from the insurance agencies, and they’d used the personal computers and made up the diagnoses reports from ten hospitals in Kaohsiung, and they’d selected the items under the $100,000N.T. coverages, and had themselves, or the individuals apply for the claims, to dodge the insurance companies looking into the matters. Some of the involved individuals got a sweet taste, and sign up for insurances with various insurance agencies, or called on their friends, relatives to join too.
From the preliminary investigations, the two men had work in collaboration with eighty-four ordinary citizens to commit fraud against the insurance companies since last April to date, there were around twenty insurance companies who fell victim, and the two scam runners made over two million dollars in commission.
And so, you’d falsified the medical records, to fraud the insurance companies, because it’s easy money, and all you need to do was to get the compliance of the people who were insured, but, you got caught, and now, you will pay, an even greater cost than those over two million dollars’ worth of commissions you’d made from running your scams, was it worth it???
