Not the lifestyle you want for a child that’s for sure!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…

“The parents had active arrest warrants on them, but the children are, innocents!” there had been many cases in these past few years of the children of runaway convicts getting abused, even murdered, the innocent children, because their parents have active arrest warrants, their lives may end badly; The scholars believed, that a lot of parents believed there to be no alternative options than to “run with the children”, but this is a selfish thing, seeing children as merely “tools”.

The C.E.O. of the Family Research Center of N.T.U.s Children & Adolescents Research Center, Chang said, the selfish mindsets of parents who took their young on the run, are EXACTLY the same as the parents who took their young to commit suicide, because they’d denied the children their rights to grow up, to get an education, to become a part of the society, the children became merely, bargaining chips for the parents.

The shocking case of the murders and abuse of three children and disposing of their bodies in Yulin, the investigators said, life on the run is hard to begin with, dodging from the police, work is hard to find, children who are on the run with their parents usually become burdens; and this case that’s, devoid of humanity with the abuse and murder of the children, was a tragedy that’s caused by the parents being on the run, and couldn’t take care of all six young children.

Chen, the social worker said, that the parents are afraid, that if they are imprisoned, then, their children would left to be uncared for, but, it’s even more trying, to escape with the children; the children start to cry, the adults get angry, and then, comes the risks.

The office manager of the Yulin’s Social Services Department, Hsu believed, that each “child on the run” is different, that the children needed their parents, and as the parents are arrested, even if the children were placed with people who cared for them, there’s still that lack of connection of the family, it’d still affected the children more or less, and the social workers can only help and try to reduce the damages to a minimum.

Chang said, that there are a lot of children in Taiwan in similar situations, that the government should handle the matter with more humanity considerations, like when the parents are both faced with prison terms, it can cause the children to be without anybody to look after them, that the government can have the parents take turns serving their time, so the kids won’t be without the care and concerns, that everything should be based off of what’s in the best interests of the children.

And this, is still the faults of the adults, because you stupid parents can’t abide by the law, and you get caught, leaving your own young uncared for, and, even IF the children are placed with good foster care families, it’s still different, from being with one’s own parents, and so, it’s the adults that need to straight up their acts here, to reduce this bad situation, because no matter how you work it, the kids are always going to L-O-S-E!!!
