Yeah, and you call that, setting a good example for the younger generations??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…

Two young American instructors from the American Full-Bright Foundation who are teaching as teachers’ assistants at an elementary school in Kinmen two evenings ago, were caught with second level narcotics, marijuana at the airport.

This is the first time that illegal substances were found in possession of the foreign instructors in the five year collaboration that Kinmen had with Fullbright; this year, there were a total of twenty foreign teachers who are teaching at the various elementary schools in Kinmen.

The local office manager from the Department of Education, Lee stated, that these two young foreign instructors are 23 and 24 years of age, they’d just graduated from American universities last year, and through the Fullbright Foundation, they were sent over to Kinmen to act as English teaching assistants last September, they are currently working as formal instructor and teacher’s assistant in an elementary school locally.

The superintendent of the local department of education, Lee said, that the school reported that both teachers were really focused at work regularly, that they won’t ask the foundation to send in new teachers, because it’s already, half way through the semester now, but they will have the English teachers from Taiwan to continue teaching, that it wouldn’t affect the progresses of learning of the students.

Lee also stated, that as the school received calls from both American teachers yesterday, saying that they “needed a few days off”, the school didn’t know what had happened, until the local Department of Education told them, then the school learned, that the instructors got in trouble with possessions of marijuana.

The local offices of Department of Education stressed, that they will comply fully with the police investigations, that if the teachers were found to have marijuana in their possessions, the school will terminate their work contracts, and discuss what happens next with the foundation.

Based off of understanding, the police received a tip, and were told, that the two American two days ago had entered into Kinmen with marijuana, the police immediately went to search their offices, and residences afterwards.

See how easily, the lives of these two teachers were, ruined, by drugs? And, maybe, they’re stupid, or they just didn’t know better, either way, it still isn’t a good excuse for them, to bring in marijuana into the country, and, these instructors work directly with the children, and who would want someone who has marijuana in her/his possessions to teach the kids? Setting a VERY bad example for the young is what this is!!!
