Facebook admitted, that due to its loose policies, it may have caused over 200 million users’ personal information to get hacked, and, Cambridge analysis showed, that there may have been up to 87 million users whose personal information was leaked out, far more than the 50 million estimated from before. But, the C.E.O. of Facebook, Zuckerberg claimed, that the scandals of personal information leakage didn’t have any “real effect on sales”.
Facebook stated on the fourth, that they’d already removed the functions of allowing users to search through the phone numbers or e-mails to check the users, because those who have bad intentions would use this function to collect the data. FB admitted, “most of the public information will get found by this manner.”

This was the very first time that FB had admitted to the leak in personal information. Zuckerberg will be testifying on the 11th to the Congress. he said, “We’d made a huge mistake in not seeing the field far and wide enough. This was my mistake.” “We are currently, examining our responsibilities in the matters.”
Zuckerberg also said, that he should stay on as the CEO of Facebook, “based off what I know, the board of trustees hadn’t discussed if I should resign as CEO. Life is about learning from one’s own mistakes, and knowing how to improve for the better.”

Yeah uh, this, is HUGE, can you imagine, how this leak of personal information can affect millions, even billions of people in the world? Because, what IF just ONE bad person got a hold of your personal information, and used it, to say, apply for credit cards, and started swiping your credits away, huh? Then, your credits would, go down the drains, and, you didn’t even DO anything!!! And that, is just one of the possible outcomes, for this personal data leak on FB…
