First step toward ones’ own independence here! And this is great, because, it’s allowed this group of children, to have input on what they want to do on their graduation trips, and, it’d also, help instilled that sense of social responsibilities into their minds, translated…

The Tucheng Elementary’s graduating class had, planned out their own graduation trip, with NO help from the school, and it’d made the graduation trip into an important lesson that the children had learned themselves.

“From before, it was always the teachers who’d planned the trips, and now, everything is done by us”, the G.T. class of Tucheng Elementary School’s nineteen graduating students planned out their graduation trips, from the sights they wanted to visit, to the routes they will be taking, the hotel, the restaurant selections, the students took charge, and the school only helped with the pre-trip rehearsals of how they should tackle it for real.

The students chose the Anping Streets, the Tree House, the sights, some students felt it was, very interesting, that planning the trips themselves, gave them the fun; there were also students who’d believed, that the trip wasn’t, planned out thoroughly enough, that while they’d planned, they’d, overlooked the transportations, causing there to be chaos on the trip.

The Jien-An Elementary of Sanxia had the students head out on an environmentally friendly graduation trip, had them brought their own eating utensils, along with the reusable items they would need on the trip, although they’d gone out with their heavy backpacks, but, it’d proven, to be, meaningful to the students.

The Daping Elementary School in Wanli had the theme of giving back to the community for their graduation trip last year, they rode their bicycles to Puli, Nantou, and, donated the handmade soaps to the foundation, then, they’d, washed the feet of the elderly in a nursing home.

Consider this, a FINAL lesson they learned in their elementary school years, because, by planning these trips themselves, it’d, allowed the students to have more leeway, and, it’d, helped them to gain empathy toward others, as well as become more aware of the environment too.
