A FAILED ATTEMPT at using the INSANITY plea here, as an excuse of MURDERING his own father, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Last year, after the man, Sun had a verbal altercation he’d run his own father over and killed him, the Collectivist Courts believed, that Sun came from a family that had malfunctioned, that it’d made him used to use immature rash manners to express his own emotions, and he was living in his own mother’s overprotectiveness. The Shihlin District Courts charged him with murdering of his next-of-kin, gave him life in prison, and this can be appealed.
From when Sun was taken into custody to yesterday as he stood in court, listening to the verdict, he’d first, muttered, “Why is my mom not here”, and as the judge announced that he was going to get a life sentence, he’d asked the judge, “life in prison, when can I make bail”, “Why couldn’t you give me ten or fifteen years”.
The twenty-five year old Sun studied in China long term, returned to Taiwan just last February, the following month, he’d driven with his 61-year-old father to visit a friend, the two of them got into a verbal altercation on clothes he was wearing; after his father was beaten up by him, he’d gotten off, Sun drove his father’s Mercedes, and saw his father walking along side the roads, then, RAMMED him down.
The verdict stated, that after the hospital examined him, started when he was only 13, Sun started having symptoms of auditory hallucination and delusions, and other symptoms, was diagnosed as a schizophrenic, but his mother and he lacked the medical knowledge, and didn’t follow up with his appointments, and he’d refused to stay on his medications.
The judge believed, that the case can’t disregard the causes of family, education or the society, that although Sun was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and as he’d murdered his own father, he’d claimed to not have the sound judgments to tell the difference between right from wrong, but he’d dodged the questions in court, and cared too much about how he will be living in jail, in the end, he’d only apologized verbally, it’s hard to believe, that he has any sense of remorse over what he did.
The Collectivist Court discussed, that Sun’s mother took a laissez-faire attitude toward her son’s life, education, only managed to satisfy Sun’s materialistic needs, was spoiling him, and, his mental disorder and wayward value systems, it’s hard, to get altered, by returning him back to his family.
And so, this time the INSANITY plea failed to work in this LOSER’s favor, and, the mother WAS overly protective, based off of what’s stated on here, and, he’d killed his own father, because his father made a bad comment on what he was wearing, see how easily he’d, snapped? And, if you return a ticking time BOMB back into the society, who knows when the next time he’ll explode, or what serious damages he can do?
