A woman in Hsinbei City, because of her cohabiting partner’s nine-year-old daughter went to play at a classmate’s house without letting her know first, she was suspected of beating the child up with an electric mosquito snatcher, and cut her hair off, stabbed the needles into her thighs, and, tied up her wrists and ankles, and sent her into the bathrooms without lights to punish her; because the child’s hair was cut by the patches, the school after getting the reason of what had happened to her, the child was placed into foster care for emergency.
The Hsinbei District Courts charged the woman on physical assault and obstruction of freedom, gave her four months, and six months; and, of the sentence of six months, she’d needed to serve the time in prison in full, but the case can still be appealed.
The verdict pointed out, that this nine-year-old young girl in the noon hours in March, went to play at a friend’s house and didn’t get home until three in the afternoon, and immediately, her father’s cohabiting partner smacked her hard with the electric mosquito zapper, and, had the sewing needles pressed into her thighs, she’d had many holes on her thighs, and, her hair was cut off unevenly as a punishment.
The very next day, her school teacher noticed something wasn’t right, and asked her about it, the child told, that other than getting physically punished by her “aunt”, her “aunt” also tied her up with ropes, and locked her up inside the dark bathrooms.
The child said, that in order to prevent her from turning on the lights, her father’s cohabiting partner had taped the light switch so she couldn’t get to it.
The school believed this to be severe child abuse, and notified the Department of Social Services, and the child was placed in foster care immediately.
The child’s cohabiting partner admitted to physically punishing the child, but said it was because she’d not done her homework and misbehaved, that she’d gotten angered and punished her physically, but the D.A. believed, that the woman had surpassed what was normal in disciplining the child, charged her with obstructions of freedom and assault.
The Hsinbei District Courts believed, that although the woman had reached a settlement agreement with the child’s father, but she had yet to be forgiven by the child, and as an adult, she’d lost emotional control, and take good care of the child, caused the child to suffer emotional and physical injuries, and that she’d needed to serve the time in jail for the obstructions of freedom, that she can’t pay a fine and get out of serving the time for it.
So we still have here, an ADULT who’s lost emotional control, and, took it all out on this young girl, and, I’m sure, that the child’s returning home late not calling home to tell that she’ll be home late because she’s at a classmates was merely, the FINAL straw, and heaven only KNOWS, how much more abuse this young girl had endured, before all of this got found, because you just don’t get violent with NO signs at all!
