A Man, Lai from Ming-Hsiung County in Chiayi was suspected of losing emotional control yesterday afternoon, he was suspected of stabbing his older sister to death, then sat dumbfounded in the living room, as Lai’s mother witnessed her own son murdering her daughter, she’d called the police, but, as she’d turned around to look, her daughter’s head had been, severed off. As Lai was arrested, he was, emotionally distraught, and the motives of his murdering his older sister is still pending investigation.
Based off of understanding, the forty-year-old Lai was diagnosed with a mental illness, his forty-five year-old older sister was unwed, they were both unemployed, and lived with the family, and the family owned and worked on a farm together.
At two in the afternoon yesterday, Lai, his older sister and mother were all at home, Lai’s older sister went into the bathrooms, then, Lai who was originally sitting in the living room picked up a fruit knife, rushed into the bathrooms behind his older sister, then stabbed her in the abdomen and chest, Lai’s mother heard her daughter scream, rushed in, and bore witness to her daughter’s murder by her own son, she rushed outside to call for help.
After Lai called the police, she’d returned back home, and saw her daughter lying in a pool of blood, with multiple stab wounds on her chest, her abdomen, neck too, and was, decapitated, and, the head was left in the bucket. Lai saw her daughter was decapitated, she’d, quickly pulled her head back out, and placed it on her body.
AS the police and firefighters came, Lai sat in the living room, mumbling to himself, Lai was clearly de4ad, so they’d not taken her to the hospital.
Lai was more than compliant as the police took him in, kept mumbling, “I saw something, I saw something”, the attorneys from the organization came to assist with the interrogations, he’d all agreed to answering the questions, in the evenings, he was sent to Chiayi’s District Court, in the transfer, he’d, kept his head lowered, without a word. The judge looked over the case, and believed that the officers’ arrest of him had gone in accordance with the law, and, sent him back to the holding cells.
The police stated, that in the process of interrogation, Lai was very unstable, would sat in silence, refused to answer the questions, or, not answering the questions that they’d asked; toward Lai’s cause of death, the D.A. and the coroners will conduct an autopsy, then, take the investigation further.
So, this man clearly had a mental illness, perhaps, it’s another case of untreated schizophrenia, with visual hallucinations and delusions, who knows? And, this just showed, how important it would be, to get people you know into treatment, if they start showing signs of mental disorder, because, this man had, delayed treatment that, was why he’d ended up, murdering his older sister, and had he been treated at a mental institution, then, his older sister may not have died!
