A case of success, from cross-generation upbringing, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
At my afternoon lunch period, Light came into my office, and said, “Teacher, I’m sorry to bother you. But, I’m going as a competitor to the English speech contests of Sanying District, can you give me some tips?”, I’d looked at my calendar, the speech contest is next week. I was, really, neglectful, I should’ve made an appointment with him, and trained him. “Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! It’s my fault, let’s, practice together at the offices of the PTA at the afternoon break tomorrow then”.
Light had prepared his own speech, I could see how nervous he was, I’d reminded him, to not get taken by his nerves, that with his skills, he can, awe everyone. “Mmmmmmmmmmmm, thank you teacher. My grandma also said that I was, too nervous, that I’d, rushed through the words.” I’d heard as Light told me of his life with his grandmother, and, he was, raised in a cross-generation family it turns out.
Light told me, that his own mother left him at an early age, that his father started another family, he said that his new mom was kind, but, his mom was his grandma. Light said, that grandma was his first English teacher, sometimes I’d used the English tunes to teach, and, these songs, his grandmother already played for him at home. After the competitions, he’d done wonderfully, Lights received a high mark, he’d shared his joys with me especially. “Teacher, grandma wanted me to thank you, that it’s all because of your instructions, I’d gotten, such high marks.”
There are excellent children who came out of cross-generations upbringing homes too, so long as the grandparents knew how to teach their grandchildren, the children can turn out mature, and well-behaved, and, in the stages of life in their futures, they’re, destined, to shine brightly as well.
And so, it’s HOW you educate your offspring, not WHO the educators are, because, this case showed, that if you’re raised in a cross-generation family, so long as the grandparents carried good values, the kids would, turn out wonderfully too.
