What a cricket had, taught you, about how to live your life, an important lesson indeed, translated…
There was, a shy sort of a musician that took up my bathrooms.
Every night, as we lay ourselves down, it was, its start in concerts, pulling back the curtains.
Why do the crickets sing? For the sake of telling other crickets of their territories, secondly, to seek out mates. He was, singled out, inside of our bathrooms, there was, NO need, to fight for territories, and, destined, to never find a mate for himself. Up to here, thinking about how he’d, continually, put on his show, it’d made me feel, bad.
We are like god, already knew, where the wind is going to blow, and, we’d, allowed him, to sing that tune, performing those, solos.
And yet, don’t know if, he was, driven by instincts, or that it was, what it was, born to do, every night, he’d, started, performing those, arias loudly.
I’d, once felt bad for it, and wanted to intervene, I’d, bent over, to see where it was. And, every time I thought, that he was, gone for sure, as the night falls, the curtains for his show had been, pulled back. The crickets were called, “insects of a hundred days”, I’d already been an audience of its solos for a little over a month, and, I still own over fifty tickets for his, nightly performances.
I got back in bed, decided, not to, intervene with its decision to sign in my bathroom, and, I’d, tried hard, to forget, what would’ve come, and, with his performances, I’d, decided, to live in the now with him!
And, it’s the cricket’s persistence, that’s, taught this person who lives in the home a lesson, despite how there are, no other prospective mates in its surrounding area (b/c the cricket is in someone’s bathroom???), it’d still, sung on, instinctively, no matter what, and, it will, keep on singing, to attract the mates (even though there ISN’T any prospects in its, close vicinity), it still, can’t defeat what’s, already, WIRED into its genes!
