Life, the Obstacle Course

Grandpa, Take My Seat, a Poem

The kindness encountered, here, in Taiwan, at random, translated…

On the Ferry to Rolling Waves Islet

in the Noises that are Going on All Around Came

“Grandpa, Please, Do Take a Seat”

It was, a Young Mother, Using Her Cell Phone

the priority seats stayed empty, for those who need it…photo from online…

Who’d, Stood Up from Her Child, Who Was, Focused on that Brand New Toy

to Let Me Have a Seat

I’d, Felt Stumped a Bit

Not Yet an Elderly

I’d, Still, Sat Myself Down

and So, I Can, Get a Closer Look at

the sign for the priorty seats on the MRT trains…image from online…

Her Smile, that Was, More Beautiful than the

Sceneries that Surrounded Us

Along with the Views from the Distance Behind Her, that’s

More and More Radiant

And so, this young mother’s kind gestures, had, touched the narrator’s heart for sure, and, this is what you will see here, in Taiwan, because when we were younger, we’d been, educated, to let up our seats to those in need, and, even though the world all around is changing, that still, hadn’t, changed, mostly, although, there are, those in the younger generations who are, too SELF-CENTERED, but, there are, those kind hearted individuals too!
