A death that resulted, in a traffic accident, due to the illegal parking of the car, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A woman, Shen had a run-in on her scooter with the driver, Chen, she was injured very severely and died; the Taichung D.A.’s Offices noted, that the primary cause of Shen’s death was that she didn’t let the car that had the right of way go first, and that Tseng’s parking illegally that’s obstructed the view of the driver was the secondary cause, yesterday, they’d prosecuted Tseng on vehicular manslaughter charges. The driver, Chen who’d hit and killed the motorist didn’t have a role in the death of Shen, she wasn’t charged.
While the district attorney was investigating, Tseng claimed that “it wasn’t my fault, the fences were taller than my car, if the view was obstructed, it was the fences’ fault, not the fault of my car.” But as the district attorney and the officers went to revisit the scene of the accident, they’d did a reenactment, and, from Shen’s scooter, and Chen’s car, Tseng’s car did, block both of their views, and so, the judge didn’t believe him.
The D.A. indicted him, said, that two years ago on the afternoon of December 22nd, Shen was riding down Guo-Feng Street, while Chen was going straight on Jiangxing Street, back then, Tseng (age 36) parked at the intersection of Guo-Feng Street and Jiangxing Street illegally, and left his car, blocking the view of the oncoming traffic.
As Shen was turning left onto Jiangxing Street from Guo-Feng Road, she couldn’t see Chen who had the right of way in her car, they’d hit, Shen and her scooter both fell over, she’d suffered severe head trauma, and, after being rushed to the hospital, she was, in a vegetative state, and they’d continued treating her until October 16th, and she died.
The traffic forensic committee of Taichung’s traffic department found, that Shen’s taking the lane to turn left, without allowing the car that had the right-of-way to go first was the primary cause of the accident, and that Tseng’s illegally parking on the streets was the secondary cause, that Chen wasn’t responsible at all. The D.A.’s offices based off of the forensics, indicted Tseng.
And so, a DEATH was what had resulted from this illegal parking on the streets, and the driver of the car that hit and killed the motorist had no role in causing the motorist’s death, as it was the car that’s parked illegally that’s, obstructed her view, and the motorist did, make an illegal turn, which caused her to die.
