A death, by NEGLECT here, and, both coaches were found, GUILTY of it!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A woman, Ju two years ago in July followed a diving coach who only got certified as a diving instructor for six days on a dive, and, as they dove, she’d, gotten separated from the group, and by the time she was found, she’d, already, drowned; the Keelung District Court believed, that all three coaches on shore and in the water were all, negligent, and charged them with negligence homicide and sentenced them to eight and ten months in prison.
The verdict pointed out, of the three coaches, Liao, has a diving instructor license with over ten years of professional diving experiences, another diving coach, Liao, and the female instructor, Yang, both just received their diving instructors’ certification six days before; and Liao knew that the two weren’t familiar with diving instructions or taking the pupils on a dive, he’d stayed on shore, because he wasn’t well, and sent the rookie instructors to guide the students.
how it should have, happened, diving with a certified coach by her side…photo from online…
At eleven in the morn, the newly licensed coach, Liao led the group, with Yang staying at the back, taking Ju and two others on their second dive. As they were viewing the creatures of the oceans, they’d not stayed close enough, to make sure that the students were in line, they’d not found out quickly enough, why Ju didn’t catch up, causing her to drown.
The judge believed, that the senior coach, Liao was the man in charge of the diving school, was responsible as a guarantor, and had he done his duty on shore, and made sure that Ju didn’t get left behind, then, this drowning accident could’ve been, well avoided; and, if the two coaches were, closer to the victim, then, they could’ve detected that something wasn’t right, and, prevent her death too.
but instead, they’d sent her down, all alone on her own, with the assistants far behind her…photo from online…
And so, the gist of this tragic death occurred, because the head coach sent his two rookie coaches to guide the students on their dives, and he’d not watched closely how the pupils were doing underwater, which caused this woman to drown and die, and so, naturally, the judge found him guilty of manslaughter, and this could’ve been, easily, avoided, had they established a better way of doing things, but it wasn’t.
