And she wasn’t even, directly involved, she was only, someone with a strong sense of justice, and she got, murdered, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A Vietnamese woman, Chen who owns a breakfast shop in Chihshan, Kaohsiung, was kind enough, to take in a divorced woman from her hometown, Nguyen, but yesterday, she was, gunned down and murdered by Nguyen’s ex-husband with a gun he’d altered himself, the man, Hsiao, afterwards, returned home, left a note, and escaped to heaven knows where, the police are chasing the leads right now, to see if they can make an arrest

The 30-year-old Chen has two sons with her husband, and had just celebrated her birthday back on March 1st with her families, she’d owned a breakfast shop outside Shijien University’s dormitory off campus, she’d hired several Vietnamese migrants to work together with them, to build a new life for themselves, and yesterday, she was, gunned down and murdered.

Yesterday morn, she’d opened up shop as she usually did, at around 7:30, Nguyen, an employee’s ex, Hsiao entered into the shop, hollered out at Chen, “Don’t get too cocky!”, then, immediately, he’d raised up a gun, and shot her, pointe-blank between the eyes, she’d started, bleeding out, at the scene, all the employees, as well as the customers all, scattered off.

Nguyen said, back then, she was making some sunny-side-ups, and realized that her ex had done this, she was so thrilled she’d not known what to do, then her ex shot at her, the first shot missed her, and the second shot jammed in the gun barrel, that was how she wasn’t, murdered by him.

After Hsiao had, opened fire, he’d, made his getaway on his motorcycle immediately, left without his helmet. The seriously wounded female shop owner was, lifted to the hospital for emergency measures, the Chiayi University Hospital opened up the skull to clean up her wound, but, they’d worked on her until 4:45 in the afternoon, and pronounced her dead.

Nguyen said, she married here for thirteen years, and was thirteen years younger than her ex, they had a sixth grade daughter, their marriage was originally, smooth going, but, her ex-who’d driven a transport semi was suspected of dumping waste into the Kaoping Creek, and lost his job, he’d become, unemployed, and didn’t have anything going for him, and on top of that, he was, diagnosed with diabetes, he’d become, a totally, different person.

Last summer, Nguyen went back to Vietnam to visit her families, posted a photo of her and a friend, hanging out, her ex suspected she was having an affair, and as she’d gotten back to Taiwan, he’d begun, abusing her, she couldn’t take it anymore, and filed for a restraining order, got divorced just this January; but, her ex started spreading the words that he was going to do bad things to everybody she knew, and threatened the breakfast shop owner to fire her, or that he was going to come to the shop and open fire on the shop, demanded that Chen put away her business quickly.

“She was, truly kind to me”, Nguyen stated, the shop owner didn’t just give her a place to stay, give her work, and, she was, unafraid of her ex’s threats, stood up on her behalf, “I can’t leave my friend hanging”, and, she got gunned down.

The Chihshan Police reviewed over the surveillance, and found that after Hsiao committed the murder, he’d carried his helmet in his hand outside, and waved his gun around, and, went back into the shop with the gun, then, thirty second later, he’d left on his motorcycle, not knowing, that he’d, just brushed shoulders with the father-in-law of the woman he’d, gunned down.

The Chihshan Police started chasing after the leads after the incident in teams, they’d found, that after Hsiao left the breakfast shop, he’d returned back home, and had his daughter use a ledger sized sheet, wrote down something similar to a suicide note, with a lot of hatred in his note, and, he’d blamed his wife’s divorce with him, on other people, with “this is the last of my words”, at the very end; the police suspected that he may be, suicidal.

And so, this, is how this woman who was standing UP for what was right was, gunned down, and, had she not been so justice-oriented, she may have, escaped death, but, because she stayed FIRM to her values of what’s right and wrong, that was why, she was, murdered by the ex-husband of an employee who was displeased at how she’d, divorced him. This can make people fear, if they were in similar situation, and perhaps, for their own safety, they may not be prone, to stand UP for what was right!!!
