This is still all, AFTER-the-FACT, hindsight, anyone??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two nights ago, detective, from the Second Substation of the Hsinchu Police Department, Lee, stabbed the detective, Tien, who was riding in the patrol car with him eight times, Tien ran out of the car, and called out for assistance, he wasn’t in any life-threatening danger after being rushed to the hospital, while Lee, drove the squad car into the Nanliao Harbor, and killed himself, yesterday, the autopsy of Lee was conducted, and it’d shows that he had NO alcohol in his system. In this rare case of officer attempting to murder another officer, the motives are still, under investigation.
The police stated, that two mornings ago at around eight, when Detective Lee showed up for work, he seemed a bit, unhappy, and, as he’d, bumped into his coworkers at the office, he’d said to them, apologetically, “I’m sorry, do forgive me, for not being courteous to you enough, or thanked his fellow coworkers, “Thank you, for looking out for me”, like he was, saying goodbye, to everybody he worked with.
The captain, Hsieh found Lee’s behaviors to be odd, and assigned Tien, the detective who’d graduated out of the same terms in the academy to take him out on a business call, to have a heart-to-heart with him, at the moment, Tien told the captain, “don’t worry, he will tell me!”, Tien drove the car, and, too, Lee along to the Dongda Road sections.
As they finished patrolling, Tien parked the car next to Dongda Road, and asked Lee on the passenger side, “Why do you look so unhappy?”, at first, Lee stayed silent, then, asked, “Do you have a piece of paper” And, Tien thought he was going to write out how he’d felt, and hand it to him, as he was, rummaging for the paper, suddenly, Lee took out a fruit knife he’d prepared, stabbed it toward Tien, Tien blocked him with his hands, they’d gotten into a brawl, Tien opened up the car door, the two of them rolled out, Tien ran for his life.
Tien immediately called Hsieh, his captain for assistance, the shop by the side of the road saw someone injured, and immediately called it in, as the rest of the police squad arrived, they’d found Tien, lying on the tables, with blood all over his body, and, still bleeding, but, the wound wasn’t deep, he was in no life-threatening danger.
Lee didn’t chase after Tien, instead, he’d, sat himself back on the driver’s side, and, drove the patrol car straight, into the Nanliao Harbor, at around ten in the evening, “splash, the car went into the oceans”, the fishers by the side saw, and immediately notified the police. The police based off of Lee’s cell phone GPS, and found that he was there, at Nanliao Harbor too, immediately rushed over.
As the patrol car hit the oceans, it’d become, deformed, the fire department’s divers searched for half an hour, then, they’d, broken the car window, pulled Lee back up to the surface, but he’d already, drowned.
After Tien became conscious again, he’d said, “I don’t know why I was, attacked”, the rest of the coworkers felt upset and confusing, as to how this could have happened, and the reason for why Lee snapped at Tien, then killed himself, will be investigated thoroughly.
The police said, that Lee was a down-to-earth kind of guy, last year, he’d passed the test to work as a detective, and transferred from the substation to the Second Detective Squad to work; Tien was outgoing, he’d worked as a detective at his former station for over a year, and six months ago, he’d transferred to the second substation, the two men were assigned to the same unit, and they’d sat next to each other in the cubicles, and would offer one another support regularly at work too.
The second squad that both men belonged to, was with the most cases cracked, a short while ago, the unit just received a certificate of achievement for “keeping the neighborhood safe from illegal substances” from the Executive Department. Back then, there was only the certificates of achievements being handed out, there wasn’t any extra reward moneys given, so there wasn’t, any words on how the money was unevenly split up, that’s caused the detective to want to kill his partner.
See how DRASTIC this detective had, taken his own life? And, something MUST’VE been, troubling this man, it’s just, that nobody noticed, because he probably, hid it so well, until he finally couldn’t take it anymore, and, end his own life, and, the stabbing of his partner at the patrols, was probably unplanned to, because this man did NOT chase after his coworker, instead, he just, drove the patrol car into the oceans, and KILLED himself.
And, the signs, he must’ve shown, but, nobody ever noticed, and yeah, this could’ve been, prevented, had someone paid a little MORE attention to what this man was feeling, but hey, we ALL know how it works, when it comes to ALL of you, M-E-N, and feelings. That “don’t ask, don’t tell” rule???
