Another murder out of love, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The NTU King of Geeks, the master student, Yen-Wen Chang, hacked down his ex-girlfriend chasing after her on the streets forty-seven times, on his first trial, he was charged with murder, rape, along with a total of seven allegations and given a life sentence, of them, the rape and six other charges were, confirmed, the murder charges were tossed back to the lower courts by the Highest Courts to retry. The High Court’s retrial believed that Chang mistook possession for love, and, considered that he had no priors, and had, settled with the victim’s families, he was sentenced to fifteen years.

Chang cried really hard as his trial started, the judge, Liang took into considerations, that Chang had an odd personality, that in the past, he’d often, attempted suicide to deal with the problems in his own life, and was trapped in the love, couldn’t help himself, and mistook possessiveness for love, in the end, his rationality was, out the window, and, he’d, murdered his ex, and, destroyed two families’ happiness.

Liang, in the verdict, quoted the Indian poet, Tagore, “Love is NOT possessing, nor being possessed, love is only, satisfying in love”, consoled that love shouldn’t be owned, and suggested that the people followed the five-steps to breakup safely, to avoid similar tragedies.

The thirty-three-year-old Chang, as he was studying in N.T.U. he’d won the championship trophy for the collegiate video games competitions, and was nicknamed, the “N.T.U. Geek”, and, as he’d committed the murder, he’d worked as an actuary at an accountant’s office. In 2013, Chang met Lin online, they’d started dating, and cohabiting, and because of their differences in personality, they’d had many fights, and the woman wanted to break up with him.

And because Chang couldn’t change Lin’s mind in breaking up with him, his love for her turned to vengeance, other than forced Lin to have sex with him, and took photos of her nude, in September of 2014, he’d hacked Lin’s head, and chest a total of forty-seven times, and after she fell, he’d mutilated himself.

Chang was charged with a total of seven crimes, including forced sexual act, desecration of a body, and murder, six of these charges were confirmed, the murder charge was appealed, and because Chang had settled with the victim’s parents for $1145 million N.T.s, the High Courts gave him fifteen years of prison term. The D.A.’s offices of the High Courts said, that after they’d received the written verdict from the judge, they will decide whether or not to appeal the case.

So here, the murder still, stemmed from love, because this woman wanted to break up with him, and this man refused to let go, and so, he’d, raped her from before, then, murdered her, and, this man had, lost his own head in love, and this wasn’t even love, it was, possessiveness!
