Apparently, the life of humans is worth…DIDDILY SQUAT here!!! The verdict’s in, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The death of the serviceman, Zhong-Chiu Hong when he was in solitary confinement, the ten army officers including the former brigadier, Yang, and nine other superior officers to Hong was accused of putting the serviceman in solitary confinement on their own, the Taoyuan District Court believed, that Yang and the others were told by the 542 Squad to punish Hong, that they’d not intended, to take Hong’s freedom away themselves, that they’re, NOT guilty of manslaughter, but the case can still be appealed.
The serviceman, Hong died from a heat stroke back on July 3rd, 2013, in the solitary confinement room of the army, the D.A. indicted the 542nd Squadron that’s signed his punishment papers, as well as the 269th Troop for carrying out Hong’s punishments.
The 269th Troop, responsible for enforcing the punishment, the D.A. charged the former brigadier, Yang, the tactics department manager, Chen, the chairman, Huang, the officer of personnel, Dai, and the officers from the 542nd, Chao, a total of ten army officers.
The judge presiding over the trial believed, that the 269th was only in charge of executing the punishments handed out to them by the various departments of the army, that sending Hong into solitary confinement was the mistakes in the rulings of punishment of the 542nd Squad’s procedural matter, that although it’s, debatable, but, they’d NOT planned to keep the serviceman, Hong in lockdown, they’d not intentionally, or unintentionally, stripped Hong of his freedom, so all ten of the involved parties were found, NOT guilty.
Yeah, uh, so, you’re saying, that the NEXT time (god I hope there won’t be one!!!) this kind of SHIT happens, the families of the DEAD should just go SUE the country, for the systems, is that it??? And, clearly, there ARE problems in the punishment phases, but, don’t you think, that those who were, enforcing the punishments should have a BRAIN, to think about hey, this may not be right, or, this is too cruel and unusual (the EIGHTH amendment of the U.S. Constitution anyone???, but wait, this did NOT happen in the U.S., it happened here, in the R.O.C.!!!), and we should, run this unit of army MORE humanely!
And yet, those IDIOTS were only, “following orders”, and what does that remind you off??? Oh, how ‘bout Heaven’s Gate Cult? Or, all those, suicides by the believers of some cult???
