The sex scandals in Korean snowballed by the day, on the depth of the evening on the 25th, Il-Hwa Choi, who’d portrayed good fathers through his agency, admitted to “Seoul Economics” that he had, sexually harassed women before. He’d admitted to wrongdoing, but his victims refused to forgive him, for he had, raped, and beaten them, that his statements were, his way of dodging blame, and demanded that he apologize to his victims in person.
The fifty-eight year-old Choi was in many Korean soaps, “Shop No. 1 for the Prince of Coffee”, “City Hunters”, and other soaps all had him in them. Most of the times, he’d portrayed the characters of the authoritarian fathers, he’d become, well known for his character portrayal as such. He’d admitted remorsefully, that many years ago, he had, sexually harassed women, and although he’d felt that he needed to apologize to his victims right then and there, but, he was fearful of what might happen to him next, he’d, lied about it to this very day. And now, he was, willing to face the consequences of his own bad action, and, he truly felt remorseful for what he did.

Choi is the chairman of the Korean Drama Guild, stressed that he was going to quit his position, and accept the punishments from the law. The soap opera, “Holding Hands, Walking into the Sunset” yesterday deleted him off of their actors’ list, and found another replacement for his role, and the university that’s asked him to act as a mentor, also pulled the plugs as well.
There are, other Korean actors, such as Cho Min Ki and Cho Jae Hyun, Cho Min Ki had been accused by multiple victims, including the attempted rape of a coffee shop waitress, his agency immediately, dropped him. Other than Cho Jae Hyun’s leaving the currently filming, “Cross” in a hurry, because he’d used his status as a professor, and sexually harassed the students, he’d turned in his resignation for his lecturer status at the university already.

And, guess what ALL these cases have in common? All these men are famous, and with certain degree of power status, and so, they’d, taken advantage of women, thinking that they’d be, too scared to rat them out, or that because they’re, stars, they can get away, with a slap on the wrists, but, they didn’t, because the perpetrators of these sorts of crimes, NEVER gets away!
