A man from the city of Taipei, Lin, bought over 2,000 pieces of the old German currency of $10,000marcs, he’d had someone go and pick up the goods, refused to pay, and dodged the seller, the seller filed for a civil claims charge; the civil case found Lin guilty, sentenced him to nine months. On the civil front, the courts mandated that Lin need to give back the currencies, or pay the equivalent of what the bills were worth, a total of $43,000,N.T.s, the case can still be appealed.
The collector who got scammed sued, and stated, that he’d planned to sell the collectible marcs of 2,500 pieces, and the buyers Lin claimed he was, willing to pay $20,000N.T. per bill, and they’d decided to meet up to deliver the goods and collect the money on October 17th, 2015.
The collector said, that after they’d met, Lin used the excuse of not having enough money on him, and asked his to leave the marcs inside a certain shop, and told someone else, to pick up the marcs, then, had him go to collect the money owed at a nearby shopping strip, and yet, afterwards, Lin kept stalling on the payments, and, the marcs were, taken from him, that was why he’d, sued.
And so, it’s clear, that this buyer had all the plans, to CHEAT this man who’d sold him the currencies, and he was DUMB enough to believe, that he could actually get away with it too! And, the court found the person who’d taken the goods without paying, GUILTY, as expected…
