Tried, and found guilty from before, but now, there’s inconsistency in the witness’s statement, and so, these two men were found, not guilty, then released, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

Sixteen years ago, the afterschool program teacher, Chi-Shuan Chen fell off the Houfeng Bridge in Taichung and died in a very horrible way, her boyfriend, Wang and his friend, Hong were accused of murdering Chen, they were sentenced to fifteen years and twelve years six months, they’d said that they were innocent, the Highest Courts yesterday allowed the case to reopen for reinvestigation again, and terminated the jail sentences for Wang and Hong.

The Taichung D.A.’s Office sent the release notice to Wang who’s still serving his time in prison, and Hong, had acted well in jail, and was already out on parole on the first of this month.

The Highest Court reopened the case, because the only witness of Chen’s falling off the bridge, Wang wasn’t consistent in his testimonies, and his testimonies may have been, contaminated, and the Highest Courts believed, that the verdict of the second trial was wrong, and believed, that the two men should “have a not guilty verdict, or be given a sentence, that’s lighter than their original ones”.

The Collectivist Courts pointed out, that during the second trial, the courts couldn’t make the specifications for the retrial, causing the case to get stuck between the second, and third trials, and wasted five years.

On December 7th, 2002, at one in the morning, Chen fell off the Houfeng Bridge and died, Wang and Hong denied their involvements, and passed the polygraph tests, Wang claimed that he was in love with Chen, and had NO motives of murdering her, that after Chen had fallen off the bridge, he’d, rushed down to save her, that if he were involved, he would’ve been, on the run.

Later the D.A. found Ching-Yun Wang, he’d claimed that he saw Wang grabbed Chen from the back, and Hong, lifting Chen’s feet high, like they were, tossing her off the bridge, and heard Wang state, “If you want to break up, I will kill you, but if you are willing to continue dating me, then, I’ll, set you back down”. That, was what the D.A. went by, and indicted Wang and Hong, and they were both, found guilty, and sentenced to their prison terms.

That just showed, how UNRELIABLE witness testimonies are, and, if the men were, mistakenly found guilty, then, the government owed them all the years they’d, already served, and, that’s the time that they won’t have back again!
