Another MURDER, that’s caused by L-O-V-E, or rather, the loss of it, and there’s also, money involved too, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man, Ming-Feng Chen, during his time of studying in the graduate department of Taiwan’s Kinesiology University started dating his professor, Cheng, and Chen had accepted monetary assistance from Cheng during the time; last February, Chen wanted to break up, but Cheng refused, and in his rental home, he’d, murdered Cheng, then, disposed of her body in the mountains. The Taichung’s District Court found Chen guilty of murder, sentenced him to life in prison, and stripped him of his government position for life.
Ming-Feng Chen’s (age 27) father, is a famous baseball coach in the country, last year, as he’d been told that his son was, arrested for murder, he’d only commented, “we will hang in there” by text back to the press media. The Collectivist Court took into considerations, that Chen had murdered Cheng (age 42)because of matters of love and money, and during his trial, he’d admitted to what he did, and kept apologizing to the families of the victim, to show his remorse, that he still had humanity left in him, and, the judge kept him from getting the death penalty.
As Chen was taken to court to hear the verdict, he’d not said a single word, as the judge read his verdict, Chen was taken back to the jail in Taichung; while Cheng’s family were all very emotional, hollering, “He took a life, he deserves to die” in court.
The verdict pointed out, that Ming-Feng Chen was emotionally troubled, in 2013, he was counseled by Cheng, Cheng learned that Chen didn’t get any monetary support for his graduate studies, and starting the next year, she’d started, sponsoring him. At the start of 2016, they’d started to date, and after nine months of dating, Chen started dating another woman, and before his graduation in February last year, he’d told Cheng that he wanted to break up.
Cheng didn’t want to, and told Chen that she was going to tell the school of how they had monetary exchanges and they had sex together, after the arguments, Chen worried that their love affair might get found out, that was why he’d decided to kill her. As Cheng went to the bathrooms, he’d used a baseball bat and smashed Cheng’s head, then, strangled her neck, and in the end, covered her head with the bedsheets, the trash bags, until Cheng had, suffocated to death. The very next morn, he’d taken the body to the mountains of Nantou to dispose of, and he’d also, taken the $7,400N.T. inside Cheng’s backpack.
The verdict pointed out, that Cheng had LINED Chen “The account I’d given to you now has over $1.2 million N.T.s in it, and now, you can believe, that I have only a third of that left in my account”, “But what do I get?” Cheng had supported Chen through school for a long time, his living expenses, and Chen couldn’t pay her back, and worried that he won’t be able to successfully break up with her, worried that his friends and families would know about them both, that it might change his life, and so, he was, driven to kill Cheng.
So, the murder victim wasn’t entirely faultless, she’d kind of blackmailed this younger student of hers, and, because this man saw NO other way out, so he’d, murdered her, and it’s still, a cause and effect at play in this particular case.
