On Friday, a man in Hong Kong was arrested of suspect child abuse. This was a fifty-two-year-old father, his eleven year-old son was injured and taken to the hospitals, and the paramedics of Elizabeth Hospital suspected that the child was mistreated, and notified the police, after the Hong Kong Police arrived and investigated, they’d, arrested this father.
On the same day, a thirty-one-year-old mother, was suspected of neglecting her children, and child abuse, she was taken into police custody. This pair of young children didn’t show up for school for a while, the school sent the social workers to the family, the mother had, refused the social workers entry into her house, the social workers were, forced to notify the police, the police came, and broke in, and found that the house was soiled with fecal matter and urine, and the young boy was naked, in the cold weather or the winter, the police immediately arrested his mother.
There are often cases of child abuse that were reported on in Hong Kong, and the series of child abuse cases had, gotten into the public’s attention, and there was the abuse and murder of a young five year old girl that’s happened too.
On the sixth of this month, after a five-year-old girl was taken to the hospitals she’d fall into a coma, and died, the police arrested the child’s twenty-six year-old father and twenty-seven year-old stepmother. The police found multiple scars and wounds on the child who’d turned up dead, covering up her small body, some of the old wounds had, scabbed up, but there were, more newer wounds on her, the largest wounds were located in her calves, thighs, and shoulders, there were rotted cankers on her that’s not healed. The older brother of this young girl was suspected of being abused too, he was set up at the hospital for more examinations, and the parents were already arrested on murder charges.
As a region ruled by laws, it’d become trending child abuse in Hong Kong, and the society is asking why. People believed, that because of the living conditions, the economic pressures of the parents, and some parents had mental illnesses and unstable emotions, while some were bad at knowing how to discipline their own young, and some of the problems of child abuse stemmed from the problems in the marriages.
Other than discussing the causes, the society also started thinking, some believed, that the parents in Hong Kong weren’t educated well enough. And, the most effective place for education of the parents is in schools, and then, in the communities. But, there’s a lack of support of parenting given by the government, without the systems, the applications for what the parents learned in the parenting courses too. While there is an alternative view of how it’s this huge hole in the systems in the society of Hong Kong that’s caused all the cases of the schools’, the teachers’, as well as the society’s lack of awareness of these cases.
But, you’d failed to mention, how this is a more lower level problem, that it’d, started with the families, then, spread (like that wildfire???) into the entire society? And, I’m sure, that there’d been, more cases from the past of child abuse in Hong Kong from before, it’s just, that they’d not happened in these, “clusters”, and so, people had, failed to notice it from before, and now, so many cases are, busting wide open, it’s, difficult for everybody to IGNORE it any longer!!!
