With a short head of gray-white hair, Liu started selling the pepper pastries because the car factory he’d worked in had closed, and he’d sold the food item for twenty-four years to date, and because he’d given the pastries to the public whenever they’d sweated and donated blood, the locals nicknamed him “The hardworking owner”, he’d smiled as he’d heard, “I earned that name all right!”

Liu said, that a little over a decade ago, his father needed brain surgery because of an accident, and it was the emergency transfusions that’s saved his life, he’d come to understand the importance of having enough blood in the blood banks, not only did he become a donor himself, he’d hoped that more people would roll up their sleeves and donate too, and so, he’d started the “you donated blood, I give you a free pastry” card, which he’d set up at Sanming High School and the donor mobiles, so the donors will be able to get a free pepper pastry for free, in the decade in counting, he’d given out over tens of thousands of the food item.

He was also a marathoner, he’d taken the sponsor of the jogging group of Luzhou this year. He said, that over two decades ago, when his second aunt passed she’d left a pair of running shoes, and it’d, fitted him perfectly, “Putting these shoes on meant I’m going for my run, otherwise, why would I be wearing the running shoes!”, he’d gotten the fun from the exercises, and entered into the marathons, and started jogging for his own life. To encourage everybody to exercise, he’d offered up the pepper pastries as the locals got involved in the Luzhou Jogging Club too.

And so, this, is a man with a good sense of goodwill, he’d given back to the community, because the help came from the community when his loved ones needed, and he’d realized, the importance of getting everybody involved, and, so he’d started giving back, setting up this unique incentive program that he’d set up.
