A Man Went Hunting and Didn’t Come Home, He Was Shot by a Member of a Gun Shooting Range, Left for Dead in the Riverbed

A murder, with reasons still unknown, masking as a hunting accident, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The member of a certain shooting club, Shih last year in December went to the Namasha Hunting Grounds in Kaohsiung to hunt and didn’t come home, eighteen days later, he was found, dead in the riverbed of Jiahsien River, been dead for many days. Yesterday the police, the medical examiners found that he was shot in the back, suspected that someone had, shot him, the investigation is now, pending.

Based off of police understanding, Shih took a dargun, on December 8th, went with his friends to the Namasha Mountain regions to hunt, but he’d never made it home, and the friends who’d gone on the hunting trip with him denied knowing what had happened to him, said that they’d not contacted him since they went separate ways.

As the families asked the police to help search for Shih, and asked the locally-operated search and rescue to search for days, but the mountains were vast and covered a lot of grounds, and the families can’t be sure when he was last seen, so the police, the local, the fire departments’ rescues all came up emptyhanded.

Until the evening of December 26, the police received a call from a man, that in the site where Shiao-Ling Village was once, in the hour-away location, there was a man, dead in the riverbeds, the next day, the local police substation rushed over, and found the deceased was already, decayed, and next to the body was, a dart gun, they’d suspected it was Shih, and notified his families, and after the DNA checks, it was, Shih.

Because the family told the police of the multiple health conditions, such as diabetes that Shih had, the police, after finding his body, speculated that his health conditions had, caused him to die. But he was lost in the mountains, there was no emergent resuscitation measures perform on him to save his life, but, the coroners, the district attorneys, the police discovered what seemed like gunshot wounds on his back.

The police believed, that the locations of the gunshot wounds were on his back, that it couldn’t possibly be caused by Shih’s misfiring his gun into himself, that there’s more to his cause of death, the Chihshang Police Substation is now, doing a full-scale investigation on the case.

And so, this may have been a murder, “masking” as a hunting accident, because the man got lost, and was, shot in the back, but we don’t really know much beyond exactly what had happened, based off of what was given here.
