This tragedy could’ve, easily been, prevented, but it still, wasn’t! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
The Fifty-Nine Year-Old Woman, Who’d Been Diagnosed with Schizophrenia, and is Registered as a Handicapped Individual, Yesterday Morning, Was Suspected of Strangling Her Own 29-Year-Old Daughter at Her Residence; Two Hours Later, She’d Called a Friend, Stated, “I Murdered My Own Daughter”. The Police Investigated and Found, that Three Days Ago, Pan Went to the Hospital Because She Was Experiencing the Ups & Downs of Her Moods, They’d Suspected that She Was Relapsing from Her Illness When She’d, Murdered Her Own Daughter; the Police Took Her into Custody on Murder Charges.
Pan’s eldest daughter told the police, “My mother would often suspected that we want to murder her and take her money from her”, at six in the morn yesterday, she’d received a text from her youngest sister stating, “Mom hadn’t slept all night, she’d kept me awake all through the night too.” Not knowing, that in a few hour’s time, she would receive the news of her mother, having murdered her youngest sister.
The police investigated, that the woman lived in Nanzi District, her husband passed away over ten years ago, her three daughters are all adults, the eldest and the second married and left home, she’d lived in a four-story mansion with her youngest single daughter, the first floor was the garage.
At around ten in the morn yesterday, the police received a call from Pan’s friend, “Pan told me she’d, murdered her own daughter”, they’d immediately sent the officers to her residence. Back then, the doors were locked, the police asked the fire department to break in, and they’d checked around the premises, found that Pan’s youngest daughter was dead, in the first floor garage, and she was inside the bedroom on the second floor.
After the police arrested her, Pan couldn’t answer the questions the police asked, only said, “Shapeless!”, said that it was, God’s will, that she’d, strangled her youngest to death with a scarf.
The police cased the scene and found, that the deceased lain by the first floor bedrooms, with a red scarf close by, and clear strangulation marks on her neck, the door to her sedan was opened, with all her belongings inside, they’d suspected that as Pan’s daughter was headed out for work at around eight in the morn, she’d gotten into a verbal altercation with her mother, and she was suspected of strangling her daughter with the scarf, until she’d suffocated and fell.
Two hours later, Pan called up a friend, told, “I murdered my youngest”, then, the friend called the police. The police’s preliminary showed, that Pan had, strangled her own youngest daughter to death.
The neighbors sad, that Pan seemed to be collecting rents to live off of, that she is from a well-to-do background, and that her other daughter is very wonderful, would often take the grandchildren home to visit her. The youngest had gone to the Philippines to study, and as she’d returned back to Taiwan this year, she’d started working for a research agency, was about to go on a study abroad trip to Australia, and was, murdered, and everybody felt awful about what had happened to her.
Based off of understanding, inside Pan’s residence, she’d posted the strips of papers for protection all over, in the first floor bedroom facing the outside, and inside the doors, the strips were also, posted.
And so, this, is a case of murder, caused by this woman’s mental illness, and that still just showed, how dangerous it is, for someone, to not get the treatments s/he needs, for a valid mental condition, and this daughter’s murder could’ve been avoided, but it still, wasn’t!
