In Taoyuan yesterday, at around midnight, there was a residential fire, and a couple in their seventies were killed; the police and fire department found the charcoals in the bedrooms, and they deducted that as the elderly couple was trying to stay warm using the charcoal, they’d accidentally started a fire and killed themselves, but they’d still needed to check all the evidence, to confirm this.

The Fire Department told, that the temperatures in the mountains are very low, with high humidity, and the natives would still use charcoal, to stay warm throug9 the season, and the fire department had gone to the locals in the past, to educate the residence about fire safety, but they didn’t have any force, to stop the members of the public from burning charcoal to stay warm.

The Taoyuan Fire Department received a call around two in the morn yesterday, that there was a residential fire in Jiguopai Road in Fuxing District; the fire department sent out all the firefighters, and arrived ten minutes after the call, the forty-seven year-old homeowner, and other had escaped, but the seventy-eight year old elderly father of Wang and his seventy-year-old mother, because they were immobilized, they couldn’t get out, and were, killed inside the house, and as they were discovered, they were already, burned to black.

The fire department found a bowl of charcoal inside the bedroom of the elders, and the fire investigators deducted, that the elderly’s room had a more serious burn, deducted that the fire may have started inside their bedrooms, and strongly believed, that the charcoal was the cause of it.
